I really enjoyed this story. Again, this is another story that I come back to every few years to re-read. I think it would be interesting to have a series of one shots like this regarding Kurama and his nature. I always felt that his true nature was misinterupted. Behavior can be altered, but personality traits are fixed and Kurama has spent far more life times being a demon. 15 to 16 years living as a human is barely a drop in the bucket to cause such change. Even if it had, the human experiences are still colored/framed through the lens demonic experience/tendencies.

I, uh, did not have the stomach for Kurama being the torturer. Kind of had to read twice, because I closed my eyes halfway through on the first. ("OMG tooth?! TOOTH?!" *horror*) Very creepy lead in conversation with Hiei; really well done, subtle and disturbing.

Oh man that was perfect!!! Really good ^_^ Karasu and Kurama were both in character....hope you write more Kurama/Karasu soon
