Hiei's Harem - Pt. 9 - Heating Up

Scene 16 ---------- Two Days Later

* Hiei is stirred awake inside the overhang alcove by sounds that he's come to recognize immediately as Gamaru and Silis. He moans quietly and rolls off of D'Tara waking her. She smiles and caresses his back as he reaches for his cloak that had been discarded to the side a couple hours before.


D'Tara- That was wonderful, Master.


* Hiei nods over his shoulder at her, then leans to give her a deep, parting kiss.


Hiei- I am getting good, aren't I?


* D'Tara gives her signature hyena-type chuckle. Hiei stands, puts his cloak on, then moves out from under the overhang to look around. He senses that Troi is on the shelf overhead watching his brother and Silis coupling not too far away. Hiei suddenly remembers his promise to Coutaro and looks up toward the younger fire hybrid.


Hiei- Troyo, come down here.


* Troiyoku blinks down to crouch beside him respectfully.


Hiei- Come with me.


* Troi glances toward Gamaru and Silis, back into the alcove at D'Tara, then follows Hiei off. The Koorime Alpha measures his pace so the pregnant male can keep up without over-exerting. Troiyoku recognizes this as they make their way down through the ravine and through the plant barrier. Troi now comes to a stop. Hiei continues on a few paces before he realizes that the boy's not following. Hiei turns to look up at Troi.


Troiyoku- Why are we..?

Hiei- Because I can feel you.. I know what you need, Boy.

Troiyoku- Hn.. But I thought we were.. I mean, that you..


* Hiei goes back up to Troiyoku and grabs his shirt to pull him down to his level.


Hiei- Let me make this clear for you.. I have marked you. You will always be one of my mates.. But with the decision that I've made.. I'm not always going to be available to.. service you.. To pleasure you everytime you need it.

Troiyoku- I understand this. We all do.

Hiei- But I won't allow you to continue to feel left out as you do now.


* Hiei releases the boy and Troi straightens up blushing a bit.


Hiei- It's no big secret that you and Coutaro are attracted to each other..

Troiyoku- Well, I.. I guess I can't.. deny that.. But I always feel as though I'm.. betraying you when I think about him..

Hiei- Good. When you stop feeling that way then I'll start to worry.. Now, come on.


* Troiyoku sighs and falls into step as they continue on through the village toward the center where the triad of huts are located.


Hiei- I've learned that I can trust these three cats.

Dagon- Hmm.. And what about a certain Crow?


* Without missing a beat Hiei half glances toward the Crow demon who's leaning against the wall of the hut they're passing.


Hiei- Crows, on the other hand, can be devious and mischievious.. You have to watch them all the time.


* Dagon cocks an eyebrow with a grin as he watches the pair continue on their way.


Dagon- You can watch me all day long, Master.


* Hiei grunts and Troiyoku chuckles.


Troiyoku- Sounds like you have an admirer, sir.

Hiei- He's only attracted to my power.. That's another Crow trait.


* Unhampered by Hiei's gruff words, Dagon hurries to fall into step beside them. He offers Troi a hand.


Dagon- Name's Dagon. We weren't properly introduced the other..


* Hiei pauses to growl up at the taller, dark-haired male.


Hiei- There was a reason for that, Bird. His name is Troiyoku and he belongs to me.. I'm only giving him to Coutaro because I know I can trust the Lynx not to hurt him.


* Dagon holds a hand up placatingly.


Dagon- Woah, easy, sir.. I wasn't meaning the greeting as a proposal.

Hiei- Good. Mind your place, Bird.


* Hiei continues toward the three huts that are now in view. Troi shrugs at Dagon.


Troiyoku- Nothing personal.. It takes a while for Master Hiei to warm up to anyone.

Hiei- Be quiet or I'll warm you up, Boy.

Dagon- Ooo. Now I would enjoy that..


* Hiei stops to look back up at Dagon again. The Crow shrugs.


Dagon- Sorry. I haven't gotten any in this village since we..

Hiei- What did you expect? They're cats, you're a bird.. They probably eat demons like you for dinner.


* Dagon nods.


Dagon- Yeah. That's the only kind of.. invitations I've received.

Hiei- Deal with it if you insist on hanging around here.


* Hiei starts to turn away again.


Dagon- Perhaps you could join me for dinner this evening?


* Hiei considers the invitation a moment, then looks back up at Dagon over his shoulder.


Hiei- Perhaps we do have more things to discuss. I'll meet you in your hut once I have this current business taken care of.

Dagon- You know the address.


* Dagon senses Hiei's seriousness and gives a half bow then turns to return to his hut. Hiei continues to the other three main huts. As soon as he stops and exudes his aura the three brothers come out to greet him. When Coutaro sees Troiyoku he remembers Hiei's promise and lowers his eyes.


Hiei- Habataro, I want you, as the oldest, to witness this.. I've decided to make it official.

Habataro- Concerning..?

Hiei- My mate, Troiyoku, bears my mark.


* Habataro glances toward Coutaro nervously.


Habataro- Sir, if my brother has dishonored..

Hiei- Will you shut up and let me finish?

Habataro- Hai, Master.

Hiei- D---.. Now then, while he will continue to be my mate I have decided that I can also entrust him to your brother Coutaro.


* Hiei takes Troiyoku over to face the younger twin. The Lynx hesitantly raises his eyes to meet Troi's.


Hiei- If I'm busy and Troyo needs.. attention.. I will only allow him to come to you, Coutaro.. I know that you will handle him with the utmost care and.. respect.


* Coutaro slowly nods.


Coutaro- Hai.. I'll treat him as I would you,..


* Coutaro looks down at Hiei meaningfully.


Coutaro- Master.

Hiei- Hn. I know.

Coutaro- Thank you.

Troiyoku- That goes for me, too, sir.


* Hiei nods as he half glances up toward his mate.


Hiei- I trust you won't let out any secrets during your times of passion, Boy.


* Troiyoku smirks.


Troiyoku- I'll try to control myself.


* Hiei grunts and looks toward Hab and Kuma.


Hiei- Any objections?

Habataro- None at all.. if this is what you want.

Hiei- Good. We're done here, then.


* Hiei starts to turn away.


Kumataro- Oh, Master..


* The Koorime looks back at Kumataro.


Kumataro- Those three swords you commissioned are done.

Hiei- Hn. Good.. See that Troyo is given one of them. Have the other two brought to me. I'll be having dinner with Dagon this evening. I need more information from that bird about Matsua.

Kumataro- Yes, sir.

Habataro- You can tell your healers that another of my mates will be ready to deliver in a couple days.


* Hiei nods.


Hiei- You know how to summon me when it's time.


* Roqueyo approaches carrying a water bucket. She pauses as Hiei passes to watch him a moment, then smiles.


Roqueyo- So you've decided.


* Hiei stops to look up at her with a slight scowl.


Roqueyo- It won't take long for Demon World to consist of four territories, perhaps?


* The female nods and continues toward her hut, looking at Hab as she passes him.


Roqueyo- I told you.


* Habataro looks back toward Hiei when his mate continues on into their hut.


Habataro- Master,..

Hiei- Your woman talks too much.

Kumataro- She's seldom wrong, though.

Habataro- Is she wrong now?


* Hiei glances away a moment.


(#) Hiei- Just keep it to yourselves.. for now.. I'm not making any moves yet.


* Without anything further, Hiei turns and blinks away. Troiyoku shrugs at Coutaro.


Troiyoku- So much for that secret.

Habataro- We'll make no more mention of it.. It's better to take the other alphas by surprise.. One at a time.


* Troiyoku nods and follows Coutaro into his hut. Habataro looks at Kuma and nods. Kumataro returns the gesture.


Kumataro- Things are about to get more interesting in the Barren Lands.. I better go get those swords.


* Kumataro walks off. Habataro glances around, more out of habit than necessity, then goes back into his hut. Only giving Darieth, leaning in the door of Kuma's hut, a passing glance.
