Well, I�m onto the rewrite of this chapter. It�ll be a bit better
then what the previous viewers got. And, you�ll get more. I hope you enjoy this
story.
CLUB-S
Part 3: The New Partner
The two of then stood there, in the park. Yusuke looked
imploringly into the young woman�s eyes. He had to know, he had know why this
was happening!
"I'm sorry Yusuke, but I just can't keep going through with
this." Keiko shook her head sadly. "I love you, but I won't compete
with your work in Spirit World." Her word were
life a knife to the heart.
Yusuke shook his head. "But why after all that we've been
through?" He asked, his hands trembling. �This wasn�t the way it was
supposed to be!�
Her eyes watered slightly. "It was fun for a while, but I'm
tired of being in danger." She replied. �I�m not a fighter, and I�m tired
of this whole thing- I want something dependable, a normal life.�
Yusuke shook his head. �I can�t believe you�re saying this to me.�
�I tried to be the person you needed, but things change- people
grow apart.� Keiko reasoned. �I�m done being your cheerleader and your
foundation, it�s time you found someone more suited for you.� She finished.
�I�m sorry.�
Yusuke watched as she walked away. He could hear her crying
slightly. He wanted to cry too, but he refused to let himself do it. �Well, it
seems that she really did it, she outgrew me.� He remarked silently to himself.
�I guess its time for me to do some growing up too.� He added and walked away.

The weather was dreary that day, accenting the stark emotions running
threw him at the time. Yusuke Urameshi set silently
at a table with two of his three remaining �gang�.
Yusuke sat in the caf� with Kuwabara and Botan.
His schoolmate and the grim reaper. In the �good old
days�, it was him and three other guys, along with Botan
and Keiko for their support. But Hiei eventually moved on, and then Keiko got
fed up with it.
His two friends were very sympathetic towards him. They had shown
up quickly after learning of what had happened a few days ago. Botan felt it best to keep him company and make sure he
didn�t do anything rash.
Yusuke looked up at the gray sky. �It looks like it�s going to
rain today.� He observed. He then turned to his two friends and smiled. �It was
for the best, really,� he began. �She deserves a normal life with a normal
guy.� He explained.
Kuwabara nodded and Botan smiled. �What
do we do now?� She asked.
Yusuke smiled at the two and leaned forward. �We start over; we
make something new for ourselves, that�s what I�m going to do.� He exclaimed
oddly.

Yusuke sighed, recalling the memories. He then pushed the tape
into the player.
Nothing much, just footage of Matsui giving some
kind of speech about something to a crowd. Then.
A shot was fired and panic broke out.
"Hmm," Yusuke breathed as he considered the images.
"Why would they shoot him?" He asked himself. "Who in the three
worlds would use a gun instead of spirit energy?" He added, out loud,
looking at his hand.
�This just doesn�t seem to click.� He spoke. �It�s like they�re
just teasing us.�

Koenma frowned as he continued
conversing with the figure on the screen.
"Lord Koenma, I am worried for my
own safety." He implored. "You have taken measures, sir?"
"Yes, Matsui," The emperor replied dryly. "Spirit
Detective Yusuke Urameshi has already been assigned
to the case, as well as a special operative."
"You mean the `child' who defeated Saint Beasts and Ototo Toguro?" Matsui asked.
"Yes, the same." He replied
from his large chair that he was sitting in.
"Thank you, my lord." Matsui replied reverently. �I�m so
very relieved by your words.�
Koenma nodded kindly. "Now, leave
the case to me; you must focus on the matters of your ascension to the council.�
Matsui nodded his head. "Yes, of course Lord Koenma."

Elsewhere in spirit world�
He held out his arms while the artifacts appeared to somehow scan
him. "Is this really necessary?"
The Ogre frowned. "Sorry, Mr. Toshiro, but security is tight
right now." He replied. "The shooting has a lot of high-ups
worried."
"I thought as much." Toshiro replied. He then smoothed
out his white jacket and proceeded into the palace after the Ogre gave him the
go-ahead.

Yusuke walked into Koenma's office,
noting the new figure standing by the desk.
"Have we met?" Yusuke asked dully.
He looked like he was in his mid-twenties, and had wavy brown hair
and dark eyes and was light skinned. He was dressed in a white suit- sporting a
Mandarin-style collar that was buttoned all the way up.
"My name is Toshiro Imamura, from Spirit World Special Investigations;
it's a pleasure to meet you." He spoke as he shook the teen's hand.
"Yusuke Urameshi." He replied,
smiling slightly at the Otherworlder's enthusiasm.
"Same here."

The door to the darkened room opened and a man in black clothes
entered. He spotted the pair of shapely legs- belonging to a lithe figure, the
face covered by shadows.
He walked over to where she sat- a low chair velvet-covered lounge
chair. "I'll take the phone, Walter." Spoke a decidedly feminine- but
dark- voice.
She accepted the phone. "Yes, I heard about the
complications, don't worry it was more a warning to the Spirit World." She
spoke. "Now they will know we are out there, and Matsui will know that
revenge will find him." She paused. "I'll give you further
instructions soon." She clicked it off and handed it back to Walter.

~End of Part Three~
This chapter leaps and bounds above the last two. I hope you guys
could drop me some reviews.
Anyway, this will be a very dark fan fiction with sexual and
fetish themes- like bondage and torture. There'll also be some humor mixed in
at some point. I hope you guys like this.
Addendum (June 15, 2005):
I lengthened the chapter a bit to better explain things, as I felt that the
original draft was a little bare-bone. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it. I want to
add that I really don�t have anything against the whole the Yusuke/Keiko
relationship except that it�s just too predictable. It�s also the fault of the
writers for causing Keiko to never really grow out of the role just �Yusuke�s
girlfriend�. She was just never properly realized.
