Chapter Title: Fear..... But where did it come from?

Summary: Hiei and Yukina get shown around their new home. Hiei briefly learns what his new job is.....

Pairings: (Hiei/Kurama, Kuwabara/Yukina)

Characters: I doubt Yusuke and the rest of the YYH gang will make an appearance.....

“Wow!” Yukina whispered softly to her brother as they came closer to the towering castle. “It’s enormous. Are we really going to live here?”
Kurama smiled as he listened to her whisper quietly to her unresponsive brother. Hiei didn’t act too impressed with his surroundings, more regarding it with contempt. Kurama couldn’t help but wonder what would impress Hiei.
“This is the dining room where meals are served to the servants. Breakfast is set out at 6 and lunch is just assorted sandwiches at noon. At some point during the day but before 3, go to the kitchen, here, and tell them which dinner you want. There will be three choices. It will be served at 6 in the dining room.” Kurama said as he showed them through the dining room and kitchen. He walked down a nearby hall pointing, “This is the girls corridors. The last room on the left will be yours Yukina. Every three rooms is a bathroom. You may go to your room now.” He paused as Yukina hugged her brother and walked to her room.
“This room, Hiei, shall be yours. You share it with me.” Kurama smiled as Hiei glowered at him.
“Am I to be your bed warmer?”
His smile widened.“Perhaps.”
Hiei unconsciously crossed his arms taking a step away from Kurama. Kurama watched him, head tilted to the side as he sensed Hiei’s slight fear.
“Now if you don’t mind, I’d like it if we both have showered before having dinner. I dislike going to any meal without a bath.” Kurama said as he opened a drawer and pulled out some towels. “Come here Hiei.”
Hiei glared as he unwillingly followed Kurama toward the bathroom. He watched with slight fear and apprehension as Kurama stripped down to nothing. Kurama turned to smile at Hiei before climbing into the large shower. “Aren’t you coming in?”
“No.”
Kurama laughed. “Yes you are. Now why wouldn’t you? Do I scare you Hiei?”
Hiei took a step back. “I’m not afraid of anything.”
“You seem to be afraid of me right now. And besides, if you want to see your sister soon, you will already be in this shower.”
“I’m not afraid of you!” Hiei growled. After a moment of hesitation, he pulled off his clothes and stepped into the shower.
Kurama’s grin widened as he took in all of Hiei’s features. The shower was quick, Kurama didn’t want to spoil Hiei. They got out of the shower quickly towel drying to help stop the cold. Kurama wordlessly handed Hiei a set of clothes and sat back to watch Hiei dress.
Hiei couldn’t help, but painfully notice that his cheeks were burning a bright red. He quickly pulled on the clothes and reached down into the pile of dirty clothes and pulled his leather jacket from the bunch. He pulled it on before turning around to face away from Kurama.
Hiei’s embarrassment made Kurama want to laugh, but he didn’t. He had actually seen Hiei’s back for the first time and it was terrible. There was so many scars and cuts from the different times they had hit him. His back looked like a scratching post for cats. “Let’s go down and get something to eat before bed. It is rather late and I’m tired.”
Hiei nodded and followed Kurama down the series of corridors until they entered the kitchen. They each chose for one of the three meals and sat down at the long table.
“Do you like it here so far Hiei?” asked Kurama in between bites of food.
“What?” Hiei barely paid him any mind since he was busying himself on the food. He was STARVING. He hadn’t eaten in so long he didn’t remember when the last time he ate was.
“Do you like it here?” Kurama asked again.
“It’s fine.”
“Fine as in you like it here and want to stay here forever? Or fine as in it’s okay but you’ll run away when you have the chance?” questioned Kurama.
Hiei growled. “It’s fine.”
“Fine as you’ll be when I have my way with you.” Kurama replied with a toothy grin.
Hiei bared his teeth at Kurama and stood up. “I’ll be in my room.” He quickly stalked out of the dining room. Kurama just laughed and continued to eat.
