Chapter 4

Wolf Spirit of Lighting

Jackie and Kurama walked quietly along the path to Jackie’s home. Neither knew what to say until Jackie broke the silence.
“You’re Shuichi Minamino,” she said with realization. “I knew I’d seen you before. I didn’t know it was you, being that Yusuke called you Kurama.”
“Yes, I’m Shuichi, but…” Kurama stopped himself.
“Middle school, fifth to seventh grades. I was in your class. In seventh grade, we had to work together a lot,” Jackie said. Kurama blinked, remembering now.
“Jackie Karen? Wow, you were the only girl who would treat me like a normal person. That was why I liked to work with you,” Kurama said with a smile.
“I knew you were a person, not some prize that your fan club wanted to win,” Jackie said wistfully.
“Thank you,” Kurama said, causing Jackie to look over.
“For what?”.
“For showing me human feelings,” Kurama said with a smile. Jackie stared at him. A blush crossed her face as she smiled gently.
Soon the two reached Jackie’s home. “I’m surprise your parents aren’t out looking for you,” Kurama said, following Jackie up the front steps.
“They know I’m a demon. They understand that I can take care of myself most of the time. They worry, but they can feel my life energy, so they know if I’m alive or not.”
Jackie opened the door.
“They understand that you’re a reborn demon?” Kurama said, slightly shocked.
“Well they found out when I was ten,” Jackie began. “We were camping. I guess some demons felt my demon energy, and the fact that I was female made them come running. They attacked us. My father tried to fight them back. I knew he wouldn’t live if he tried. I had came to love my human family, and I wasn’t going to let something happen to them.
“I transformed in front of them, becoming Shadow the Lightning Wolf once more. I killed the demons saving my family. I didn’t look at them, thinking I would be kicked out of my family, but they surprised me. They came to me and hugged me, making sure I was ok. I asked them why weren’t they scared of me. They told me I was still their little girl. No matter what I was.”
Kurama smiled. He wondered if his mother and the rest of his family would be the same way.
“Hey! I’m home!” Jackie called.
“Big sister!” a small voice called. A five year old girl ran up.
“Hey bud,” Jackie said, hugging her. The little girl looked to Kurama.
“Are you sissy’s mate?” the girl asked. Jackie quickly grabbed the girl and put a hand over her mouth. Ugh, why did she have to say that? “Boyfriend” wouldn’t have been so bad. “Mate” meant a lot more the demons. Both Jackie and Kurama were blushing madly.
“Jess, he’s not my mate, he’s a friend. And what did I tell you about saying things that bring up demons?” Jackie said quickly.
“Oh,” Jess mumbled. “Well to me, he felt like a demon. So I though he was your mate.”

Seth laughed. “Nice one, Yusuke. Face first into the dirt.”
Yusuke had a dull look on his face. He had just gotten his ass beat in. “Haha, funny,” he grumbled. The guys should have been planning how to get Lyra, but Kurama was walking Jackie home, and Hiei had disappeared right after.
Kuwabara wasn’t much help. Seth sighed. “At least this means my parents are getting together, and Hiei is with his future mate. I hope,” he said as he sat down.

Lyra sat on her throne. “Seth is starting to really get on my nerves,” she growled. “But god, I just want to fuck him. Put him under my control and have him begging for more. The other won’t fight against him. I will have sex slaves of those spirit detectives,” she giggled as she stood up.
“Seth, I’m coming for you, and there is nothing you can do.”
Lyra laughed, looking into a mirror that showed a young half fox, half wolf.

Rachel smiled as she walked through the park. Hiei quietly followed her.
“So now you help the spirit detective… Wow! At least you still get to kick ass,” Rachel said, getting a small grin from Hiei. “And now, at least, you’re not alone. Those guys are there for you…”
Hiei looked at her. “Hn,” he grumbled.
Rachel slowed to a stop and reached out, taking Hiei’s hand. The demon pulled back at once. The action didn’t stop Rachel from putting her arms around Hiei from behind.
“And you got me. You don’t have to hide your feelings,” Rachel whispered as she rested her head on Hiei’s back.
Hiei stood still, shocked. Rachel had done something no one else had been able to do. Rachel had reached Hiei heart. The hybrid demon had found someone who understood him.
Hiei turn to look at Rachel. Could he really trust her? He sighed. He hated emotions.
Hiei’s eyes widened slightly as Rachel pressed her lips against his own. He could feel the love and trust within the kiss. He deepened it as he wrapped his arms around Rachel, pulling her close to his body. She wrapped her arms around his neck until she pulled back.
“Hiei, I’ve fallen in love with you. I don’t care what you think of me, my being human and not very strong. But I love you for who you are, and I know you feel something for me,” she whispered as she stared into Hiei’s blood red eyes.
Hiei stared at the young girl in his arms. “Rachel, do you know what you’re saying?” he asked quietly. She smiled and nodded.
“Yes, I do,” she. And for once in his life, Hiei returned the smile. Maybe the human wasn’t so bad. He wouldn’t mind having her as a mate.
Rachel smiled as she rested her head on Hiei’s shoulder. It may be a while before she got Hiei to say those three special words, but the look in his eyes gave her enough of an idea. He did care, in his own way.

Seth crashed into his bed on Yusuke’s floor. Yusuke had already fell asleep. Seth shifted, looking to the window. Could he really stop Lyra and protect his future? Or did that timeline come crashing down the moment he had come to the past? He closed his eyes tightly. He didn’t want to know what would happen if Lyra became his mother. Would she rape her own child? He sat up slightly, shaking the though from his head and remembering his last fight before heading to the past.
***Flashback: Future Timeline (Lime warning) ***
Seth chased Lyra through the woods, not noticing how far he was getting from his teammates. It was all Lyra’s plan to lead the young spirit detective away from everyone else and get him under her control.
Seth removed a seed from his hair, resembling like his father. He could control his plants along with lighting.
“Lighting Rose Whip!” Seth called out as the bluest rose formed a blue whip. Seth slid to a stop as Lyra stopped next to him.
“Seth, my beautiful half fox, half wolf,” she whispered. Seth growled. Lyra grinned. “You will make a great lover.”
Lyra waited casually for the boy to use his plants.
“In your dreams,” Seth growled as he attacked with his whip. His hot temper controlled him, and he didn’t see Lyra’s plan. Lyra grabbed the end of the whip, not caring about the electric shook going though her body. Seth stared in shock. Before, she wasn’t able to stand the lighting energy moving though the weapon.

Lyra moved her hand, pulling Seth forward and used his own plant on him, wrapping the whip around his arms and tying him to a tree. Lyra grinned.
“If you take your eyes off the target, you’ll get caught,” Lyra said as she ran her hand down Seth’s face. Her hand slid down his chest and stopped at his belt.
“Don’t worry. Your friends will be on our side soon.” Lyra grinned as she pushed her hand down his pants. Seth gasped as Lyra took hold of him. Lyra kissed Seth, pushing her tongue passed his lips.
Seth tried to move back, but the tree stop him from going anywhere. His body was reacting to her touch, even though he didn’t want it. She pulled her lips away from him to concentrate on her hands pulling his pants down.
Seth once more tried to free himself. There was only one girl who could touch him: his future mate, Meggie. Not this spoiled princess. “I’m not a toy,” Seth hissed. Lyra grinned.
“You are now,” she hissed back.
Seth’s voice caught in his throat. He couldn’t call for help. He knew he would hear about this for a while from his team.
He jerked as Lyra took him into her mouth. His groans became gasps as he felt his energy being drained. His eyes started to glaze over.
Lyra’s eyes open as she sensed something nearby. She wouldn’t be able to finish the spell. She wouldn’t be able to have sex with him. The others were to close.
Lyra eyes started to glow. //When we do become one, you will be my strongest fighter, until your father and uncles join us,// she whispered telepathically as Seth felt his release. With his energy drain, his head hung. He couldn’t move.
“Get away from him!” a voice growled. Another rose whip, much stronger than Seth’s, hit Lyra’s back. Lyra growled as she stood up, glaring at the older fox. She disappeared when Kurama went to attack her again. Even with the newly gained energy from Seth, she wouldn’t be able to stand up to all of them.
Kurama eyes widened as he saw his son. He fixed Seth clothes back onto his body and untied the whip. Seth stared at his father before blacking out. //You were part of me and soon you’ll be all of mine,// Lyra voice echoed in his head.
***End Flashback***

Seth sat up in a cold sweat. God, he hated himself for letting that happen to him. He had a feeling that he wasn’t going to get though this without being turned against his friends. His eyes went to Yusuke, and he sighed as he lay back down and tried to fall asleep again.
NOTE: Poor Seth, he can’t seem to get away from Lyra. In life or his dreams. Well hope you liked.
