To Be A Mate Of A
Demon
Chapter 4
The problem with
the wanting and the brain
“You want me to What? But, but…Jin I never
did something like that or, or…!
I don’t want to hurt you!”
Jin watched with utter confusion his half mate stutter
out his thoughts.
Idly he asked himself not for the first time
the last hoers what he could have done in his live to earn himself someone’s
love like Kazumas!
The boy refused to bite him back!
Not because he did not want to finish the bound
as you would think, No! Kazuma refused to hurt him!!!
Jin took his head in both hands to hide the
wide grin that slowly found its way on it.
How typical for his human to react like that!
Beside the hardly himself restraining from laughing
out aloud, yokai sat Kazuma on the rumpled sheets of his bed with crossed arms
and stubborn face.
The youth shakes vehemently his red locks in
his deny to do something that could hurt his beloved yokai.
Deep breathing a few times, Jin got himself finally
in check again and looked smiling at his mate.
The yokai could not believe it; Kazuma was too
kind and friendly.
Silently vowing that this was the first and the
last time he would demand from his mate something like this, Jin decided it
would be better to do that this time.
“Kazu, no please look at me!
Believe me, you will not hurt me, no let me end
my sentence. I know that you don’t want to hurt me, believe me you will not.
And besides that, if you don’t do this he will find a way to split the forming
bound of and to interact in this again!”
Jin could clearly see the hurt that was to see
in Kazumas eyes. Sighting the demon finished his speak.
“Please, Kazuma all I ask for is this.
I swear, I will never demand again something
like this from you ever.
It is the only way I can bind you fully to my
soul!
Please Kazuma!”
With that the yokai leaned directly into his
mate. Jin knew that the youth hate the mere thought alone to hurt him the
slightest.
Somehow Jin had managed to find himself the
kindest soul ever as his mate!
How, was a miracle to the demon! How a pure
soul like Kazuma could love a yokai like him…an everlasting mystery he would
never truly understand.
Jin knew that he needed serious help in this!
Kazuma was stubborn enough in this to refuse
him this wish, because he would have to hurt him. Only a simple bite, the yokai
thought somehow defeated and even this wanted the youth not do because it would
hurt Jin!
Shaking his head he tried to reach the two
yokai on the neighbourhood house to ask them for help.
If this two knew nothing to assure the youth
that he would not been hurt too much, then, Jin thought there would be nobody!
Hiei perked suddenly his dark head upwards and
seem to Kurama to listen to something he could not hear.
After some seconds the jagonshi did something
that amused the fox demon to no end.
He slapped himself with a groan!
“What is it now?”
Kurama sounded as curios as he was, what could
make his dark little friend act like that!?
“Kazuma refuses to fulfil his duty and to
complete the bound! But not because the baka do not want to be Jins mate, he does
not want to hurt Jin!”
That brought another groan of disbelieve out of
Hiei.
Kurama smiled fondly at the window down at the neighbour
house, he understood what Hiei tried to tell him. The kind boy feared to hurt
his beloved yokai.
Slightly chuckling Kurama tried to think about
a way to reassure the youth and to make this all happen.
After some seconds, Kurama suddenly poked Hiei
in the side and startled so the other yokai out of his deep musings about this
not expected problem.
“I think I know something that will calm Kazuma
Kun down enough to do it. I just don’t know how to tell him without to reveal
that we where here the entire time and watched. As you and I know him, he will
not be found of this knowledge and that could make it difficult for me to tell
him.”
Hiei thought two minutes about this before he
suddenly nodded and turned around again to tell the wind demon this.
Jin was happily enjoying his half mate’s
presence when he suddenly felt Hiei contact him.
Inwardly groaning the wind messenger entangled
himself out of Kazumas arms and began to tell the youth that Kurama and Hiei
where there the entire time.
“What?!?”
Was all that could be hearing afterwards.
Kazuma hollered the word practically out.
Jin cringed at the expected volume of Kazumas
reaction. He had known his hopefully soon to be full mate would react this way.
He knows all to well that Kazuma loved his
private more then anything.
After some seconds of constantly glaring at him
from the boy, Kazuma seem to calm down from his anger. Much to Jins relives!
An angry Kazuma was nothing nice to watch!
A nearly half a hoer later he had talked the
youth into accept that the two did not want to stalk them but more to protect
them. And another half a hoer later of constantly talking the cheery yokai had
the youth’s agreement to hear what the Kitsune wanted to tell him.
Jin was happy.
After
all this talking to his stubborn mate, he was only glad that Kazuma was no
longer this mad at him!
Outside the room, Kurama and Hiei took this at
their clue to change their currently place against the windowsill of the room
next to Kazumas bedroom to enter the flat of the siblings without to have to
ring the bell first.
After some minutes to let the two occupants of
the other room get into their clothes again, both knocked at the other door and
came in the room.
Kazuma was only glad that he had time enough to
clean up the mess the two of them had created the last hoers!
He was beery red all the time since Jin told
him that the two where here all the time.
But he got even redder in his face when Kurama
entered together with Hiei the room and sat down on the chairs on his study
table across the room.
He felt arc ward and did not like it to know
that these two witnessed all.
Suddenly Kurama asked Jin and Hiei if they
would be so kind to leave for some minutes so he could talk with him alone.
Kazuma was glad for the Kitzunes kindness to prevent
him from the staring of Hiei. Even he thought he missed Jins calming presence.
“Kazuma? Why do you refuse to finish what you
both seem to want so badly?”
The boy was stunned, where did Kurama know this
now?
“To be honest I don’t want to hurt Jin.
Not even if my live depends on it!
Kurama can you even understand me?”
The last was spoken with so much sorrow in the
voice that the fox demon inwardly cringes at it.
“Yes, I think I can but you will not hurt him,
no let me speak.
You do know that I had a mate once, yes?”
After a short nod from the youth on the bed and
his answer, Kuronue, Kurama went on with his explanation.
“He and I were mates. Fully mates to be more
exact and that for a mere century we were. We never hurt each other and until
his end he and I never parted from each others ways for more then a day. As you
and Jin will not after the bound is sealed.”
Kurama yanked his t-shirt away to show the
other the faint scar on his neck.
Kazuma had never seen it before. It was a
surprise for him that it was there. He ever thought the Kitsune in front of him
had no scars on his skin.
“Yes, it has hurt allot as the mark from Jin on
your neck have done it to make but this was the only time ever Kuronue hurt me!
It was necessary to seal our bound!
Nobody of us wanted to hurt the other as you
don’t want to hurt Jin. Not even with this simple bite, “
Kurama took a deep breath before he ended his
sentence, “but believe me please, it will not hurt him!
He will be rather glad when you do that,
because he doesn’t want to loose you. Koenma will not stop, if we all are right
in our suspicious, to try to stop you both from mating. It is the only way to
make this permanent and to seal your soul on Jins forever.
Please, Kazuma try to understand it and try to accept
even it is only for this time!
You Will Not Hurt Your Mate!”
Kazuma felt not well with this but to be honest
with himself, he understood it fully from the start.
He just did not like the thought to hurt Jin in
any possible way!
The mere thought of doing this let the youth
shudder, he hate it to hurt someone. He never liked it. Sure, he liked it to fight,
that includes hurting each other as well but that was in the battle. This here
was a different kind of thing entirely to the ningen.
He was so deep in his thoughts that he even
missed Hiei and Jin come back in the room and then Kurama and the fire demons
leave.
So Kazuma was startled when he raised his head
again and found them both gone.
Jin watched with sorrow his beloved ningen battling
with his believes.
Hiei had told him outside how humans thought of
their way of *marriage*.
To say Jin was surprised at their customs was a
lie. He found them simply idiotic.
But the ring thing had brought up an idea in
the yokai and after he told it to the hi-yokai Hiei had smirked and nodded.
“That could work!” was all Hiei told the
smiling demon to his left and went away to get Jin what he had asked for.
Now he sat beside Kazuma and suddenly found out
that it was not so simple to do what he wanted!
Suddenly, the ningen tradition seems not so
simple anymore.
Gulping down the nervous yokai twisted the tiny
object between his fingers around for some minutes, not finding the right
moment to disturb his ningens thoughts of what ever the fox demon told him.
“Jin!
What are you constantly turning around in your
hands? It makes me mad to see that.”
Kazuma suddenly startled Jin out of his
thoughts. The embarrassed demon turned brightly red, much to Kazumas amusement
and curiosity before he suddenly gulped like a fish and throw him something in
his lap.
“Here, got that for you!”
Scratching his head without to look at his
human, Jin tried to look at everything in the room that was not Kazuma.
He was a nervous wreck at the moment.
Why the hell was it that hard to give Kazuma
this stupid tiny thing in a proper way???
Arching one brow at the unexpected behaviour of
his demon, Kazuma looked more closely at the object in his large hands.
A black coloured box.
What he found in there brought him on the verge
to cry like a baby; a ring.
But not any kind of it, no.
It was a silver and gold crafted masterpiece of
a wedding ring!
With beautiful blue and red stones on it and it
looked like whirlwind on the top with the stones brought in the form of the
whirlwind.
The other one the youth found in the small box
was exactly the same as the first one but it had more orange coloured stones on
the top. There the human lost it; Kazuma began to cry silently.
Now the demon was completely confused and
shocked; what had he done wrong this time???
Was Kazuma not supposed to be happy?
Jin nearly fell over in his fast reaction to
get his human in his arms to soothe him.
Looking in the clueless and worried eyes of the
wind demon Kazuma realised suddenly that Jin must thought he had done something
wrong, Kazuma could not help himself from doing the only thing he thought of,
that could tell the yokai otherwise.
He kissed the apparition deeply before he whispered
a soft thank you in Jin’s momentary practically hanging ears.
That seems to soothe the demons confusion
slightly.
After a few seconds of explaining that humans
expressed sometimes deeply running emotions of happiness with tears, the yokai
seem to calm down completely.
Kazuma looked intently down on the beautiful
rings for minutes before he suddenly seem to find a consent with himself.
“Ok Jin, I will do it. But only for this time
ever, understood?”
So that was it for
this time.
Maybe I should leave
it so…?
(Scratches her head
deep in thought and went to write something other)
