Life Goes On

Scene 5 ------------------------------------------- Tourin

* Botan pops into Yusuke's livingroom to find him and Kurama in the middle of a very heated, deep kissing session on the couch.


Botan- Oh dear!


* She quickly turns her back blushing the color of her kimono. Yusuke pulls back to look down into Kurama's dark demon gold eyes.


Yusuke- Babe, look over my shoulder and tell me that you do not see a dead woman, dressed in pink, and carrying an oar.


* Kurama's bushy, silver tail caresses up Yusuke's thigh to his hip sensually as he peeks over Yusuke's shoulder.


Kurama- Well, she's not carrying an oar.

Botan- I'm sorry I interrupted, but this does happen to be important.


* Yusuke moans and gives Kurama another quick kiss before tearing himself away from him. The kitsune reluctantly recloses his sheer tunic as he sits up beside Yusuke. The Toushin looks up at Botan.


Yusuke- What's so d--- important?


* Botan sighs, peeks around carefully, then turns to face them.


Botan- There's been trouble in Human World..

Yusuke- Look, Botan.. My mate has just come back into heat quicker than he should thanks to the last problem we had in Human World..

Botan- Congratulations, Kurama.. Yusuke, Koenma asked me to come get you.. I'm sorry.

Kurama- You better go find out what's going on, Love. You know Koenma wouldn't summon you if it weren't important.. He wouldn't risk his Father's wrath to do so.


* Yusuke looks at Kurama and begins to be drawn toward his rosy lips once more.


Botan- Shizuru's been killed.


* Yusuke hesitates then looks back up at Botan. The kitsune stills his tail that was beginning to caress Yusuke's thigh.


Yusuke- What?

Botan- A gang of demons killed her while she was in the park near her home talking with yukina.. Shizuru thinks they were after Yukina.. Some details are still sketchy.


* Yusuke stands, fastening his plain leather vest shut. Kurama switches into his human form as he stands up beside Yusuke. Yusuke's shaggy white hair fades back into its normal shaggy dark color and his tattoos fade away.


Yusuke- Isn't Shizuru the one who took custody of Imiko?

Botan- Yes. Shizuru says that Yukina took off with the boy.. The demons were chasing her when Shizuru faded out.

Kurama- D---.. I'd have to pick now to go into heat.


* Yusuke turns to face Kurama smirking, feeling his mate's frustration.

Yusuke- Just sit tight, Foxy. I'll be back as soon as I splatter some demon a--es.. It'll be a week or so before you come into your high heat. You'll be safe here.

Kurama- I'll miss you, koi.


* Botan summons her oar as Yusuke leans to give Kurama one last kiss before tearing himself away once more. Yusuke then moves past her to the computer station. He taps the button the opens the portal that Koenma had installed for them.


Botan- Too good to ride my oar, hmm?

Yusuke- I've grown up some.. Besides, this portal..


* Yusuke moves toward the bright oval of light that opens.


Yusuke- Is a lot quicker.


* Botan scowls, but follows Yusuke through the portal into Koenma's office. She watches the oval close behind them.


Botan- These portals will make our oars obsolete.

Yusuke- And you're complaining?


* Botan follows Yusuke over to Koenma's desk. The Toddler is busy watching the attack's footage.


Botan- Do you realize that riding our oars is sometimes the only thrill..

Yusuke/Koenma- Can it, Botan!


* Yusuke leans against the desk with his arms crossed. Koenma quietly restarts the feed. It isn't long until Yusuke holds up a hand when they get a clear shot of one of the demons: a taller version of Hiei.


Yusuke- Now, you and I both know that there's no way in h--- that can be Hiei.

Koenma- No. His name is Ryuji.. He's Hiei and Yukina's younger half brother.

Yusuke- Uh huh.. Never had the pleasure of meeting any of Hiei's side of the family.. Besides Yukina, of course.

Koenma- Ryuji is nothing to joke about, Yusuke. He also handles a Black Dragon.. He's not mastered his as well as Hiei has, but he's no amateur, either.

Yusuke- So is he the leader of this entourage?

Koenma- Not from what I've gathered so far.. After Yukina grabs Imiko and takes off it's hard to get any more historical feed.. But this demon, there to the right of Ryuji..


* Koenma uses the remote to zoom in on the leader.


Koenma- He gives the order to pursue Yukina. He instructs the group to 'Get her'.

Yusuke- Her..? Yukina? Not the boy..?


* Koenma shakes his head.


Koenma- Shizuru says that she feels they were after Yukina.


* Koenma continues to let the feed run as they continue talking.


Yusuke- Some kind of family feud or something you think?

Koenma- Too little reaction from Ryuji to speculate.


* Yusuke holds up a hand again when the blast that hits Shizuru makes Ryuji and Kurai leap aside.

Yusuke- Did you see that reaction?

Koenma- Yes.


* The feed continues until Yukina scoops up Kasaba and blurs away.


Yusuke- D---, she can move, too.. So.. does Hiei know about this, yet?

Koenma- No.


* Yusuke turns to look at the Toddler when he whines.


Koenma- I was waiting for him to get back up from Demon World.

Yusuke- So when will he be back up?


* The godling lowers his eyes with another whimper.


Koenma- He's been back about fifteen minutes or so.. He's probably up with Shishi.


* Yusuke's eyebrow twitches.


Yusuke- So you want me to be your guard when you tell him?


* Koenma glares up at Yusuke again.


Koenma- What?! You think I can't handle an S-Class, Dragon-handling, walking bad temper?!


* Yusuke rolls his eyes and waves.


Yusuke- Come on, Junior. I'll change your diapy if you have a boo-boo.


* Koenma leaps into the air with an angry curse and zooms toward the large doors. Yusuke shakes his head and follows.
