The wedding! Dun Dun Dun Dun!
I almost pushed this chapter off for another week because I wasn't sure of how I wanted to pursueBy the way to everyone who is confused about why Kurama keeps raping Hiei, it's the parasite that has flushed
it's way out of Kurama's system already. I meant for it to flush out by the end of last chapter, beginning of this
chapter. :)
Chapter 5 Enjoy!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------When Hiei woke up, he found himself all healed and finding out that a week had passed. Hungry, Hiei raided
Genkai's temple. As he hid in wait, he watched the group that was already there discuss Kurama's wedding, saying
that it was so close and would be happening soon. They complimented and congratulated Kurama the whole time as
they asked about the wedding, wondering what was planned. Kurama beamed and described the wedding with not as
much enthusiasm as the rest of the group. Hiei as he watched this felt sick. Stupid fox was really going through
with this. Hiei burned with rage but he still stole food anyways before he vanished deeper into Genkai's forest.
The days weren't going by fast enough for Hiei like he thought they would. Now he wanted to die.
Kurama didn't know what it was lately, but as the wedding approached, he felt better. That itchy feeling in the back of his head and behind his eyes was gone. He could honestly say that he felt like himself again. However, he noticed that Hiei had changed. Hiei wasn't as friendly towards him anymore....and that bothered him. It wasn't like Hiei to be so distant. He was normally distant to every one but him and Yukina occasionally. However, lately, Hiei wasn't just distant to him, Hiei was acting as if the whole world didn't exist anymore and nothing mattered but gaining power. This made it clear that Kurama had to talk to him and figure out just what was bugging Hiei. Something had to be done about this. He had to talk to Hiei.....now if only he knew where Hiei was and had the time.Kurama had been so busy lately with the wedding preparations that he had no time to talk to Hiei.
When Kurama finally had time to spare to hunt Hiei down to ask him what was wrong, Hiei was too fast for him to catch up to, which forced him to give up since he figure that Hiei wouldn't tell him anything no matter how hard he bugged the other. Besides, he actually had to find Hiei before he could ask him what was wrong. Finding Hiei right now was impossible. But he had the suit made for Hiei anyways. He even had it measured to about Hiei's measurement and height. Kurama knew that he probably wouldn't see Hiei until the wedding when he had asked Hiei to be his best man. For now, he had to trust that whatever was bugging Hiei, Hiei could handle it himself. For now, Kurama chatted with Sakura, as they arranged the wedding plans to be in the church and the affairs after. Kurama was happy for his wedding even if he was signing Hiei's death warrant by marrying Sakura. It wasn't his fault because he honestly didn't know what he was doing wrong to hurt Hiei.
Poor, idiotic, slow witted Kurama.
It was the night before the wedding and Kurama found that he still hadn't managed to find Hiei, so he did the
next best thing. Draping the suit over a branch in the temple where he knew Hiei usually hid when he wasn't
frequenting Kurama's apartment. He called out "Hiei! This suit is for you! I expect you to wear it at the wedding! And to be there as my best man! Please my friend, this day would mean a lot to me if my best friend was there to show his support and approval of my wedding!" With that, Kurama left, trusting Hiei to not disappoint him by not showing up for the wedding. Kurama just needed a good nights sleep then tomorrow, the wedding. He was too excited that he could barely wait for the wedding to begin.
When Kurama woke up it was the morning of the wedding. Excited as he was, he knew he had to get ready. After
showering, Kurama dried himself off and he began to dress. When he was fixing his tie, his mom came in to see him. Kurama beamed at his mother as his mother shut the door behind her. He said "Ah mother, I'm so glad to see you." Shiori beamed at her son as she walked over to fix his ivy green tie that matched her son's eyes. She said "Oh shuichi I'm so proud of you, I couldn't be happier." She stepped back and beamed as Kurama smoothed down his suit and said "Thank you mother, I'm so happy to be getting married today too." Shiori beamed and took from the pocket of her coat a emerald green satin ribbon stepping behind her son, she tied his hair back in a loose pony tail. Stepping back she said "There! Now you're all set." Kurama beamed again and said "Good. I'm glad you approve mother, now if you'll excuse me, I must go stand at the altar." Kissing his mother on the cheek, he walked out of the room to head into the church where the altar was. As he walked, he pinned a red rose to his chest, completing the look.
When Kurama entered the church he was momentarily stunned with the sight that greeted him. Not only was everyone they had invited there, but at the altar, his best man, Hiei, was there. Hiei wasn't handsome, he was gorgeous! He wore the suit, but he had added something to it. Kurama didn't know what it was, but the suit made Hiei look even more attractive, and he knew it wasn't the lack of headband, it was the earrings that dangled from hiei's ear. On one ear, a ruby orb dangled from his ear, on the other was an ruby stud. The bandanna that usually his his Jagan was replaced with a black bandanna that was hidden by bangs that Hiei had skillfully manipulated to hide the scarf and the jagan. Around Hiei's waist under the black jacket was a red sash that was a filmy silky see through type sash that glittered with stones that looked suspiciously like small diamonds. The black tie Kurama had left for Hiei to wear had been exchanged for a red one. All in all, Hiei looked dashing, considering with the fact that he stood straight and tall as well, showing off his pride as a fire demon before anything else.
For all the show that Hiei put on, he couldn't deny that his body was starting to decay and break down. The
rejection of his mate and his mate taking another was hurting the fire demon heritage in him. However, hiei didn't say a thing. It was not his place to say anyways. He couldn't say anything. Hiei resisted the urge to flinch when he felt his angry mating mark twinge in pain at being denied its right to claim the one it had acknowledged as it's mate. Hiei resisted the urge to shudder or grab at it and instead clenched his fists at his side and nodded his head curtly at Kurama as he tried to not show what was bugging him. Kurama beamed at Hiei and whispered as he stood next to Hiei "I'm glad you could make it Hiei." Hiei hned and looked away playing off his reaction off as embarrassment while Yusuke, Kurama's second best man chuckled as he stood there in the suit with his hair slicked back in its' usual fashion. Kuwabara stood there straight and tall trying to impress Yukina whom was sitting in the front row and wearing a white kimono with a lotus blossom imprinted on it. She smiled, looking serene and beautiful that your heart ached watching her beauty.
Although no one had long to contemplate Yukina's beauty as the wedding song began and everyone fell to a hush
as they turned their heads to crane and stare at the bride as she made her grand entrance. Sakura wore a simple
wedding dress. It was sleeveless silk whit dress that hugged her B-Cup bosom amply. The dress hugged tight until her waist before it flared out to a tutu like dress with a elegant see through lace ontop of the wedding dress. The veil was as long as the dress and remained over her face. She was a beautiful sight that sole Kurama's breath away. Hiei on the other hand wasn't looking so hot. He had gotten a shade paler and his hands began to tremble showing that his body was taking this rejection pretty hard, not that nobody noticed because they were all focussed on the approaching bride. Hiei managed to not pass out though. He remained up right and stoic, not showing the pain or agony on his face. He just kept still, getting paler by the second.
When the wedding was over, Hiei went to the reception after and remained in the shadows, focussing on breathing as he tried to not show weakness. Hiei made it to the reception and even though all night long, he stood there in the corner, watching every thing go on, he couldn't help but feel a stab of pain in his heart everytime he saw Kurama, his mate kiss Sakura, his human mate. Hiei felt betrayed and there was nothing that could be done to take away that hurt feeling except for Kurama to get rid of his human mate, apologize and let Hiei complete the mating mark. However, Hiei knew that wouldn't happen. Which was why he never even broached the subject with Kurama. Hiei just let it remain where it was as he tried to pretend everything was fine, even if his body said it wasn't. All Hiei had to do was persevere through tonight and then he would try and figure out what he was supposed to do, which Hiei did rather well considering his situation.
The minute Kurama and Sakura left and were gone on their honeymoon, Hiei fled to Genkai's too. He had to get out of here before he fell apart completely and in front of everyone. When he arrived at Genkai's, Hiei changed back into his old clothes hurriedly discarding the suit in a neat pile on the kitchen table in the temple. Before Hiei even made a foot into the forest, he collapsed. Hiei wasn't able to persevere for as long as he thought he could, and now he had collapsed. Although it wasn't until morning that Yukina on her morning walk found him. After dragging the semi conscious Hiei inside, she undressed him to the waist even while she ignored his feeble protests. When she saw the mark, she gasped in shock and horror. Tears fell from her eyes and she said as she got Hiei comfortable "Oh Hiei-san! Why didn't you say anything? How could he!" She had seen the mating mark and knew the reason why Hiei had collapsed, well she didn't really, but she understood why. For once, the ice koorime was furious, even as more gemstones piled up on the ground beside her. How could Kurama have hurt Hiei so badly? His own best friend! She really couldn't understand how this could happen.
Yukina didn't know what else there was to do, but she knew that Kuwabara, Yusuke and everyone else was coming by soon and she had to get ready, but with the amount of tears she was shedding, she knew she wouldn't be able to hide why she was upset which meant she would have to tell them about Hiei's sudden collapse. Yukina pulled the blankets up and over the mark, hiding it from view while she put a cold rag on Hiei's feverish forehead. Hiei had become so weak now, it was ridiculous, and something had to be done to help the fire demon get his strength back because Hiei being this weak just wasn't right.
