Genkai arrived at Spirit World and the group runs up to her. "Okay, what was so important that I needed to come in person?" She asked and Yusuke explained. "So do you know anyone that can do the spell?" He asked. "There is one person. Well demon really. Her name is Shyian, an ancient demoness. She lives on the outskirts of Tokyo, if you want to talk to her we need to use a portal to get there soon." Genkai said and Botan handed them a key. "Use this, it'll get you there in two shakes and a hamburger." Botan said. "Uh...thanks. What is it besides a key?" Yusuke said.
"It's the key to a portal to the place you need to go. It's a new device Koenma made up, so be careful and hope you don't turn into blobs of flesh on the other side." Botan said. "You mean no one has ever used it before!?" Yusuke yelled. "Well, no. Not yet, but you guys will be the first." Botan said and Kuwabara turned green. "I don't want to turn into a blob!" He wailed. "Don't worry. Koenma's inventions rarley cause harm." Genkai said. "Well, let's just hurry up and go." Yusuke said. "How do we use the key?" Kurama brought up and Botan showed them a map with many key holes. "Just put it where you need to be and viola, you'll be there."
Taking a breath Yusuke inserted the key and the group screamed as they went through a blurry tunnel. They ended up on a grassy hill and Kuwabara fell over with swirly eyes. "Well at least we're not blobs." Hiei said and Genkai took a look around. "Shyians place is this way." She said and they followed the old woman. When they entered a swamp land, Kurama looked around. "Why is there a swamp here?" He asked. "Shyian made it. She likes damp but muggy places." Genkai explained and a small house appeared in front of them.
Kuwabara screamed and fell down. "It's a ghost house!" Hiei sighed and his eyes slanted. "It's not a ghost you dumbass. It was just hidden." He said and the red head stood up. "Don't call me dumb you shrimp." Kuwabara said and dusted off his cloths. "Will you guys shut up already!" Genkai yelled and knocked on the door. A female with flaming red hair and emerald green eyes answered. Her skin had a blue tinge and didn't look at all like a demon. Hiei and Kurama sported red streaks on their faces. 'She's beautiful!' They thought in unison.
"Genkai. What do I owe the pleasure of this visit?" Her silky voice flowed through the air. "It's a protection spell. I would like you to place one on three people. Against Yama." Shyian nodded. "Who are the people?" She asked, her green dress flowing in a non existant wind. "Yusuke here, the Spirit Detective, his mother and your half brother Koenma." Genkai said and everything came to a halt. "Half brother!?" The guys yelled and the demoness nodded. "Yes. The God Koenma is my baby half brother. I know he's shy about his family, especially me." She said.
"Is Yama your father then?" Kurama asked and she shook her head, leaving her house which disappeared. "No. We shared the same mother, different father. Now tell me what is going on." Shyian said. "Yes, we will. First lets get to Spirit World." Genkai said and Yusuke brought the map out, using the key. They flew through the tunnel and landed by Botan who screamed, flying away.
"It's just us Botan." Kurama said to the woman. "Geez! Give me a damn heart attack! Now go save Koenma's love!" She said and Kuwabara flew besides her. "Yes! We must defend the almighty power of love!" He yelled and they all had sweat drops. "Do they always do that?" Shyian asked and they nodded. They dragged Kuwabara away and told her about everything that's been going on.
Meanwhile in the Armory Koenma picked up a large double edged ax and looked at it. 'I wonder. Will this kill that bastard? I guess only one way to find out.' He thought and swung it, the metal humming through the air. He left the room and went to his father's office, knocking. When he entered he shot a powerful blast knocking the elder God down. Yama shook his head, dazed and bewildered. "You will not come between me and Atsuko any more." Koenma hissed and raised the ax. He was about to swing when the door opened and the gang entered.
"Koenma, don't do it!" Yusuke yelled. "I'm not standing for this anymore!" Koenma yelled and swung the weapon. Yusuke grabbed it and Koenma struggled. "Let go Urameshi! This isn't any of your concern!" Koenma yelled and jerked the weapon. "Do you really want his blood on your hands!? It's not worth it!" Yusuke said and Koenma got the ax loose and knocked the Spirit Detective across the face with the handle.
"Shit!" Yusuke swore and the others held the God down. "Stop it. We have another way to do this." Shyian said. "Trust us." Koenma finally let go of the ax and they took him away, leaving a very angered Yama steaming and planning his next move. The gang took Koenma to Earth, to the Urameshi house for Shyian to put the spell on them. After a few words over the three's heads, they were garunteed to be safe.
"Shyian. Thank you." Koenma said. "I'm sorry Yusuke. For hitting you." He said and Yusuke smiled rubbing his head. "Yeah. I never knew you had it in you." He joked and they laughed, happy that they were finally able to be safe to be together. At least that's what they thought.
