Hiei's Harem - Pt. 15 - Moving

Scene 6 ------------- An Hour Later


* Hiei relaxes on top of Eboni catching his breath. He’s aware that the young demoness beneath him has slipped into hibernation because of the energy she expended during their refreshing. He takes a few moments to assess where he stands with all his new females. ‘Hn. Only one, maybe two more to refresh.. Only one left to give birth’. His ears catch a sudden loud belly chuckle from not too far away and recognizes it immediately as coming from Tiyarmaru.


Tiyarmaru- Well, I was going to wait to speak with our Master Hiei once more, but since he seems a bit preoccupied.. I have to get back to my own territory, sissie.

Tachimaru- I’ll miss you, Ti. But I’m sure..


* Both Tigers leap aside startled and the younger males all scramble aside when Hiei suddenly appears beside them.


Hiei- I’m finished with my business, Tiyarmaru. What do you have to say to me?

Tiyarmaru- D---, you’re fast.


* Hiei smirks. Tiyarmaru looks back at his sister excitedly.


Tiyarmaru- Oh, sister, this one will definitely improve our species even more than your current cubs.


* Hiei rolls his eyes and starts to turn away. Tachimaru clubs her brother upside his head.


Tachimaru- Don’t say such things, you moron! Perhaps I haven’t even decided whether I’ll stay around or not.


* Hiei looks at the Tigress again. Tiyarmaru gets his attention, though, by touching his shoulder.


Tiyarmaru- Master, forgive my silly sister. I do need to have a word with you before we leave.. A private word, please?


* Hiei grunts and follows the larger demon aside. Tiyarmaru turns and leans to place a heavy paw on Hiei’s shoulder to emphasize the importance of what he’s about to say.


Tiyarmaru- Your actions with your female over there shows me that you trust me.

Hiei- Hn.

Tiyarmaru- In this case, of course, your trust is well-placed.. But if I may speak liberally..?


* Hiei just keeps his eyes locked on the older demon’s bi-colored eyes. When Tiyarmaru tilts his head the jaganshi realizes that he’s waiting for yet another response from him.


Hiei- Hn.

Tiyarmaru- While it’s good that you dote on your females.. Any alpha worth his salt knows that his females are the ones that will bear the strength of his line..

Hiei- Stop beating around the bush, Old Cat.


* Tiyarmaru sighs.


Tiyarmaru- I just want to warn you to be careful.. Showing others that you care so much for your mates can lead to some ruthless character using them to weaken you.. Do you understand my words?

Hiei- So you’re some kind of sage?


* Tiyarmaru raises up to his full height with the deep chuckle that’s fast becoming his trademark in Hiei’s opinion.


Tiyarmaru- An Alpha in your position can never be too careful.

Hiei- Well, I do have an advantage in that regards, Tiger. I use my third eye for more than just controlling the black dragon that I used to take out Ooshama.


* Tiyarmaru slowly nods.


Tiyarmaru- Your strength has increased, I can tell that. Nobody in this region would be foolish enough to challenge you now. But there are others beyond the Barren Lands that are far more ruthless. Why do you think I keep my clan here in this worthless place eeking out our survival.

Hiei- I’ve been beyond the boundries, Tiger. Of both this region and Demon World, itself. On many occasions.. I’m still alive.


* Tiyarmaru nods with a deep sigh.


Tiyarmaru- Obviously. But there’s an old Human saying I’ll give you in parting, Master.. ‘Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer’.. I’m sure you’ve heard this before.


* Hiei studies the Tiger alpha for a couple moments. The demon is obviously wiser than Hiei originally gave him credit for.


Hiei- Hn.

Tiyarmaru- Then I’ll bid you a pleasant journey and be on my way. You feel free to summon me anytime you need me or my clan. There’s not many of us left, but we’re at your disposal, M’Lord.


* Tiyarmaru waves to his subordinates, then leans back down closer to Hiei again.


Tiyarmaru(Quietly)- Oh, and don’t let my sister worry you. She talks big sometimes, but I happen to know that she absolutely adores you.


* Hiei grunts complacently. He watches the Tigers leave a few moments then glances back toward Tachimaru. The Tigress lowers her eyes back down to her playing cubs. Hiei turns his attention toward the female that he’s more concerned with at the moment. He makes his way over to the tree where Sylk is still seated. The only indication she gives of his presence is a twitch of one of her rounded ears in his direction.


Hiei- Can we talk.. civilly?


* Sylk continues avoiding his gaze as she looks back toward Lily. The Kitsune is still seated near the patch of bushes. She’s cradling Sylk’s daughter against a breast as she uses her tail to keep Kurasyl entertained.


Sylk- So you gave my babies to her.


* Hiei glances toward Lily.


Hiei- She’s a full-blooded Kitsune. It seemed to be the right thing to do.

Sylk- She refused to carry your..?

Hiei- She miscarried her whole litter.


* Sylk quiets, then averts her gaze to somewhere off in the distance. Hiei easily picks up her memories about the daughter she lost in Matsua's complex. But he decides not to let her dwell in it for long.


Hiei- Woman,..!


* He reaches out and gets a handful of her thick black hair. Almost instantly he realizes why he’s so ‘worked up’ again. He inhales her scent deeply, then demonstrates his control by calmly releasing her.


Hiei- The attraction is still alive between us.. You know this as much as I do.

Sylk- I’m your b----. You have the right to..

Hiei- Hn. I could.. I could also take all of this d--- stubbornness of yours away in a moment.


* Finally Sylk looks up at him. Hiei taps his headwrap to remind her about the jagan. He recognizes the momentary flash of fear that touches her expression.


Hiei- I could’ve done it in that cell the first time we met.. But I admired your will and character then and refused to crush that spirit.

Sylk- And now? Now that you see how.. pathetic I truly am?

Hiei- Not pathetic, Sylk.. There’s nothing I find even remotely pathetic about you.


* Sylk hisses angrily and looks away.


Sylk- I abandoned my babies, rebelled against you..! Ran away like a f----ing coward!

Hiei- I have a jagan, remember? I know every motive that’s governed every action you’ve taken.


* For several moments neither of them speak.


Hiei- I’m still giving you the same choice, Sylk.. But this time, if you decide to go I will use my authority just once on you so that I can release you properly.


* Sylk looks back up at Hiei, truly meeting his eyes for the first time.


Sylk- If I stay.. I doubt your precious Fire b---- will be willing to just step aside again.


* Hiei glances away toward Sarista a moment, then looks back down at Sylk.


Hiei- Sarista knows how to handle herself. I’ve trained her myself.


* Sylk clearly shows her surprise by quirking an eyebrow.


Sylk- You would have me believe that you made your..?

Hiei- The same way Tsetsuya trained you, Sylk.


* With that Hiei turns and moves away. Sylk continues staring at his retreating back until he reaches Chevaux and settles down behind her. Sylk looks away to pick up the other sandwich. She nibbles on it as she contemplates what she’s gleaned from their brief conversation and the decision she once more has to make.
