Chap 6
Despite Kurama’s noble actions he was called before Koenma to be sentenced for his hand in stealing the treasures. Yusuke asked to be there, Kuwabara and Keiko were there as well. Kurama was read the charges against him, and the red head confessed to his part of stealing the treasures. “Well if there is nothing else, I will past sentence on you.”
“Hold it Koenma,” The man turned to Yusuke, “Kurama wasn’t the only one who used the mirror I did to, so if you are gonna punish him for this, you are gonna have to punish me as well.”
“Yusuke.” Kurama gasped, and Koenma held a solemn look.
“He assisted in the stealing of these treasures Yusuke.”
“Yes but he gave it back and I have the other Orb as well.” He said, “You asked us to retrieve the treasures so your father would not find out about them getting stolen. How can Kurama be charged for a crime that cannot exist?” He had him there.
“Yusuke I cannot just let this slide.”
“Then I will take full responsibility for him.” He smiled at Kurama. “I know Kurama is a good guy, and I believe in him.”
“Very well, Kurama your sentence will be this, you will serve as Yusuke’s assistant for spirit detective, be aware that you will be his responsibility.”
“I understand Lord Koenma, thank you both.”
Kuwabara couldn’t believe it, he just didn’t get why the demon was getting off scot free, he needed to get the last treasure so he could be leader. He’d make sure that the demons paid for what they did. Kurama hugged Yusuke and the orange haired man sneered in disgust.
Yusuke gave Koenma a smile, and he mouthed “Thank You.”
Koenma smiled, he had made Yusuke happy so he’d count that in the win column, and Yusuke did save him some troublesome paperwork. Not only did he have a powerful demon assisting Yusuke, but he had two of the three treasure things were coming together.
Yusuke brought Kurama home, and he met the boy’s mother. She was a very kind woman, and she was so happy that her Shuichi had a friend, Kurama was embarrassed but they had a good time.
When they said goodbye they went over the terms of Kurama’s sentence. Kurama was to meet with Yusuke everyday at his house, as well as check in with Koenma. He was to accompany him on missions, except this one, Yusuke wanted him to have some time with his mother. “Yusuke thank you for standing up for me.”
“Like I said I got your back.”
“Yes and no I will have yours.” He held out his hand. “Partners?”
Yusuke took his hand. “Partners.” He left after that. “See ya around Kurama.”
Hiei was following him, he couldn’t take his eyes off the boy. He was much stronger and smarter than the orange haired oaf that was trying to hunt him down. He wanted a face to face with Yusuke, and of course he needed the other two treasures.
While Yusuke slept Hiei used his jagan eye to pear into his mind. “Detective, I know who you are, and you know who I am, but it’s time we had a face to face.”
“What is it you want?”
“Don’t play coy, you have two of the treasures, and I have the last.” Hiei smirked at him, “I want the treasures back.”
“You have the demon sword.” He said, and Hiei noticed the thinking look on his face. “Alright, tell me where you want to meet.”
Hiei gave him directions and left his mind, he smirked and went off to prepare. Keiko had a vision of the future and she saw that Yusuke was going to meet with Hiei and she didn’t know what to do. So she went and spoke to Kuwabara. “You did the right thing Keiko, you know where they are meeting right?”
“Yeah.”
“Good we are going to go there, and we are gonna capture the demon and take back the treasure.”
“Ok but should we tell Yusuke?”
“Don’t worry I’ll tell him.” Keiko left and Kuwabara had no intention of telling Yusuke at all. With Keiko’s ability Kuwabara figured that she could keep the demon immobile just enough for him to strike.
The next day…
Yusuke went to the warehouse Hiei asked him to go, he brought the treasures with him. “You came alone?” Hiei appeared across from him.
“I figured that would be best.”
“I do not know if you are brave or stupid.” Yusuke laughed and shrugged.
“Who’s to say?” He looked at Hiei and revealed the two treasures. “Tell me Hiei why do you want these treasures so bad, you seem plenty powerful on your own, an orb that can steal souls, a mirror that can grant wishes at the cost of a soul, and a sword that makes demons. Each item alone is wild and dangerous but have them together and use them towards one goal and anything is possible. So what is your goal Hiei?” He asks and Hiei laughs.
“I’ll be fair detective and tell you. Someone precious to me has been taken, I admit I am not strong enough to get them back. I will use these treasures to build an army of demons and take them back.” He pointed the demon sword at Yusuke. “So I give you a choice, become a demon and join me, or we fight and I kill you and take the treasures back.”
“Sorry Hiei I have to decline being a demon, and I won’t let you kill me.” Yusuke held his rosary beads, Hiei rushed at Yusuke and slashed at him. He shielded the strike with the beads, they glowed resisting the swords dark energy. “I’ll give you a choice now, surrender the sword and I promise I’ll help you save them, we can get stronger together find some allies to help us.”
“Oh like those two human friends, I saw you for your strength and you could be so much more, just shed that human heart of yours.”
“But it is this heart that wants to help you Hiei.” He looked into Hiei’s eyes. “Let me help you.” This made Hiei blush and he jumped back.
“Do not mock me!” He removed his headband and revealed his jagan eye. “You will witness my power!” Suddenly Yusuke found he was unable to move.
“Shit!” Hiei transformed and eyes appeared all over his body and his skin turned green.
“Ha ha, you under estimated me, now you are gonna pay for it.” Using his powers he sent Yusuke flying into the wall and he appeared before him, he sent a barrage of punches at Yusuke and the boy was unable to block.
Yusuke got annoyed very quickly and with his anger his power roared to life. He broke free and punched Hiei in the face, and he was sent flying, but the fire demon was quick and corrected himself. ‘Impressive!’ He wiped his chin and stared at Yusuke.
“Time to die shorty!” Kuwabara screamed and he flew at Hiei spirit sword raised high.
“Kuwabara?” Yusuke face palmed. ‘That idiot, you would never sneak up on someone who’s covered with eyes, and if you did you wouldn’t scream out the attack.’
Hiei dodged the attack easily, which is exactly what Kuwabara wanted. When Hiei jumped back, Keiko trapped Hiei in a barrier. “Ha you fell for my trap, half pint now I’m gonna turn you over to Koenma and claim the right as leader. What do you say to that Urameshi!?”
“3…2…1…” When Yusuke finished counting Hiei used his power and tore apart Keiko’s barrier. In a flash he slashed them both and evil eyes began to form on their heads.
“This was to foolish to be your plan Detective.”
“Thanks, but Hiei, Kuwabara may be a an ass but Keiko is a good girl, and I have a job to do. So last chance, give me the sword!”
“Still funny to the bitter end, I’m going to cut you down and make you a demon Yusuke Urameshi!” Hiei flew at Yusuke at great spead.
“I warned you.” Yusuke’s beads glowed, he raised a barrier.
“I’ll cut down your shield just like the girls!” When Hiei struck the shield a flash of light erupted from the shield.
“It’s not just a shield, it’s an attack shield!” A barrage of spirit gun shots erupted from the shield and hit Hiei sending him flying back.
“I should have recruited ya when I had the chance, you beat me Detective.” He reverted back to his human form, and his jagan eye closed. Yusuke took the sword and used the antidote on the two. Botan arrived with Kurama.
“Botan can you do me a favor and treat Hiei?”
“What about you?”
“I got him, I’ve a few healing plants that will fix him right up.” Kurama began work on the treatment. “Looks like Hiei did a number on ya.”
“I’m okay, tough job is to convince Koenma to spare Hiei from any punishment.”
“You are truly an odd one Yusuke.”
“That bad?”
“No not at all.”
Hiei was taken to spirit world, and Yusuke and Kurama went with. The fire demon was restrained to bind his powers and speed, and a band of seals was placed over his jagan eye. “No absolutely not, I cannot pardon Hiei so easily, Kurama was one thing but he was the master mind.”
“Please Koenma, I got all the treasures back and your father doesn’t know a thing right?”
“True, but Yusuke this is different.” He thought for a moment. “Alright I will pardon Hiei but you have to do something for me.”
“Sure anything.”
“Strip!” Koenma said, and the three males tensed.
“What?” Kurama gasped,
WHAT?!” Hiei snapped,
“Ok.” Yusuke said, and all three males looked at Yusuke in surprise.

Preview
Yusuke strips naked and Koenma gets to touch him, Kurama and Hiei have mixed feelings about this. The final requirement is a kiss.
Hiei moves in with Yusuke, and he has to wear a collar that connects him to Yusuke. Hiei feels it’s humiliating but since he gets to be with Yusuke he accepts it, after all it’s only temporary.
Kuwabara wants a re test to see who is leader, so Koenma sets them up with Genkai, the one who wins the tournament and can bring Rando to justice will become the new leader.
