Chapter 7
Chapter 7
A/N: I knew you guys would be happy with the quick update! I bet you are happy with this one too! You guys just make me so excited about it that I have to keep writing! So, here is chapter 7 for you guys!
Tesgura – You are so welcome! ^^) Also, About the figuring out thing, well I had a plan for that all along! It’s going to be the first scene in this chapter so I really hope you enjoy it! Hope you like this chapter.
Leiko Urameshi – You’re welcome! I used to have all of the books, but my puppy decided to eat my copies of the second and fourth and fifth, so I looked forever for them! I’m glad you are happy about it. There are a few typos in the fifth I found, but the others are perfect. Just wanted to tell you that Doodah Day is in the fifth book. The Cube was in the third book. I changed it around a bit because I had someone ‘upgrade’ it for this story.
If you want to see what I think Minerva looks like, look up Angela from Vicious. It’s a lolicon hentai anime so be careful. I warned you! Oh, but Minerva is 18 and has a bigger chest. Yeah. Think I might pair her off with Yusuke.
WARNINGS! This chapter is very dark. There is a ‘mock’ rape (Holly doesn’t really get raped) and Artemis is choked and Mesmerized to think that shooting his knee cap off is a game. If you are going to flame me, don’t bother. Just read the first scene and the last scene if you have a weak stomach.

OOOOOO
The instant Minerva stepped into the Hotel room the group had rented – it was safer than having their ops at Kurama’s mom’s house – she found herself pinned to the wall with a hand around her throat. It took her a moment to realize it was Hiei. “What are you doing, demon?” She asked, struggling against the hold. Butler moved to step in, but Minerva held up a hand to tell him to stop.
“Why did you think you should kiss him?” The demon growled with narrowed blood red eyes. “Did you not think he was involved with anyone?”
The blonde’s eyes widened. She had not calculated Artemis being in a relationship – especially not with a male demon. “I…He’s gay?”
Kurama blushed and cleared his throat. “Well…bi for sure.” He then grabbed Hiei’s wrist. “Let her go. She didn’t know.”
Minerva held her throat as the demon released his hold on her. “I apologize. It will not happen again now that I have this information.” She said while holding back tears. She really thought Artemis was the one. “Alright. We need to start phase two. Has the C Cube migrated yet?”
“It should migrate as soon as Holly presses the command.” Foaly spoke into her ear. “We’ll have to wait until then.”
OOOOOO
Holly glared and struggled and yelled through her gag. She was chained to a wall with Artemis next to her, unconscious. “When I get my hands on you, you’re going to be sorry!” She screamed, though they couldn’t understand her.
“Look at her squirm.” Juliet cooed with a smug look on her face. “This was worth the seven years I’ve waited.” She then stepped back, smiling. “I need to get a few things before we can have our fun. Day, you watch the prisoners.”
“Alright Root. My pleasure. Mind if I have a little fun too? She’s kinda cute.” He asked, leering at Holly.
She glared and struggled harder. “You keep your filthy hands off me!” She yelled around her gag.
“Knock yourself out.” With that, Juliet and her group left Doodah alone with them.
“Alright, girly. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time.” Day stalked over to her and pinned her to the ground. He fought hard against her struggling and kicking, but he trapped her frame beneath him. “Stop struggling. You know me. Doodah Day.” He whispered.
Holly paused and gasped, “Doodah Day! What are you doing with Root?”
He couldn’t understand her, but he could guess what she was saying. “A pixie friend of mine asked me if I wanted in on this right after I met you, so I only agreed to be your inside man. “He paused and spoke up for the camera, “I wanna hear you beg me to stop.” He ripped the gag from her mouth.
She figured there was a camera somewhere in the room, so she did what any female fairy in a real situation like this would do; she screamed, loud. “Stop it!” She cried.
“Tell me the plan.” Gave his whisper from her neck where he was kissing.
She blushed. “Artemis has a C Cube attached to his hand. I need to activate it.” She whispered back, then started to struggle again.
Day covered her lips with his own, and Holly gasped, allowing the pixie to thrust his tongue into her mouth. She almost moaned at the taste before remembering she was supposed to be struggling and kicked him hard. He smirked at her and flipped her over, taking off her panties. She was facing Artemis. She looked behind her and found that her movements were covered by Doodah’s body from the camera.
“Scream.” He growled, slapping her on the ass. He didn’t do it hard, but the sound bounced off the walls in the room.
“Stop it!” Holly cried while reaching for Artemis. She grabbed his hand and pressed along his palm, looking for the button. She gasped when she felt something hard press against her and was actually scared for a second before she realized it was covered. He wouldn’t do it, she knew; but it seemed he wanted to. “Please, don’t,” She whimpered.
Suddenly, a part of Artemis’ palm flashed blue for a second. She activated it. Doodah saw this and started to hump her, groaning and saying things that made her blush. She played along until he acted as if he finished. Soon, he was sitting at the table, smoking a human cigarette, and she was in a fetal position, acting as if she had just been hurt. He did whisper, “Sorry I got hard,” Into her ear before he retreated, making her feel strange. Sure, he was an attractive pixie, but he did almost kill her once, a long time ago.
Artemis finally stirred, though he was surprised that he did; after all, he was deprived of sleep for so long his body shouldn’t be able to wake up. But he felt something giving him strength. It rose up his arm and into his chest, making him gasp out. When he opened his eyes, he was a naked Holly next to him, and felt anger bowl in his veins. “What did you do to her?” he growled, leaning over her.
“I’m fine,” She whispered, though she still cowered. “It was part of the plan. Do you feel the cube?”
With his strength back, his mind finally started to work. He understood the plan now. They had tampered with his C Cube obviously to make it meld into his skin. It was strange, he didn’t think Foaly could do this…then again, maybe Minerva was the one who did it. “It’s going up my neck.” He spoke in a hushed voice. He felt what he could only guess were wires running up his neck, into his ear, down his spin. It was an odd sensation. “Can anyone hear me?” He whispered.
“Artemis! Are you alright? How is Holly?”
“Fine, and fine.” He spoke, turning his back away from the camera. “Who did this to my Cube? It is amazing.”
“I did it,” It was a female’s voice, Minerva. Artemis suddenly blushed when he remembered she had kissed him. And in front of Kurama too.
“You must tell me how once we are out of here.”
“We are tracing the C Cube right now. A recon squad is on its way. ETA three hours.”
Artemis growled, “She plans on torturing us. We have an inside man, but I don’t think she will wait three hours to do what she has wanted for seven years.”
“Shut up, prisoners. No talking!” Day suddenly snapped as the door opened. “Oh, Juliet. Back so soon?”
She smiled. “Just getting a few things.” And she did. Her pixies and sprites brought in a load of items that Artemis and Holly both did not want to know what they were for. The last thing was an old, worn down chair that Juliet seemed quite proud of.
“A garroting chair.” Artemis whispered.
“Ah, you know your torture devices well, I see.” She patted the chair fondly, “This was the hardest thing to find, though I could have made one myself, I suppose. But it wouldn’t have been as good as the real thing.” She paused and gave them a wide smile that stretched over her face to reveal her pearly white teeth. “Now, who should go first?” After thinking for a moment, she glanced at Holly. “You, pretty elf. I’ve waited so long for this; I don’t think I can wait any longer.”
“No, me.” Artemis stood on his knees. “You want her to suffer? Then start with me. It will kill her to see me in pain.” He looked at her with sad eyes, “We are in love after all.”
“Artemis, don’t do this!” Holly pleaded, but it was too late.
Juliet giggled and clapped her hands at the idea. “I know you suggested it out of chivalry, but it is perfect!” She turned to the sprites. “Strap him down!”
Two of them nodded and unbound Artemis, pulling him to his feet. They drug him across the floor, scrapping his toes on the concrete ground, then strapped him into the seat, positioning it in front of Holly, just out of her reach.
“I’m sorry, Holly.” He scoffed as a band was wrapped around his neck. “This is actually selfish. I don’t think I could stand seeing this happen to you.”
Holly clenched her eyes shut and turned her head away as Juliet took place behind Artemis. “Open your eyes, Short, or I’ll slice his throat.”
Her eyes snapped open. They had to stay alive for three hours, well, two and a half now. She watched in horror as, slowly, Juliet turned the dial, tightening the band around Artemis’s throat. The teenager gasped at the choking sensation an immediately coughed as his breath left him. His fingers gripped his arm holders hard and he forced his throat to relax to not cause unnecessary damage to his wind pipe.
“Artemis!” Holly called out, but her voice seemed so far away. His eyes drifted closed and he coughed harder as the machine was tightened once again. 2 more hours. Just two hours. He had to make sure they didn’t hurt Holly.
“The look on your face,” Juliet cooed as she leaned down – she was standing on a stool to be the right height. “It is priceless. Do you feel my pain? Do you know how I felt as I watched him die and could do nothing about it? Losing a loved one is hard.” She suddenly yanked the lever, causing it to tighten even harder, making Artemis cry out in pain as his wind pipe was crushed further.
“Stop it! This is insane!” Holly growled, lunging forward. She fell just a few meters short of Artemis. “Please, you are killing him. He can’t breathe!”
It took a long minute, but Juliet spun the pedal the opposite way. Artemis slumped forward coughing, but relieved that he could breathe once more. “You… think they won’t find you?” He asked while taking deep breaths, trying to not hyperventilate.
“Do you think I care?” She hissed. “I want my revenge. I am willing to suffer the consequences.”
“ETA is an hour and a half,” Artemis heard in his ear. It was time for some mind games.
“Really? Have you ever been to Atlantis prison?” He shivered, “I have. It is not pretty. The things that are done to you, the way you are treated. I would rather die.” Suddenly, a blade was at his throat and he had to force himself not to panic.
“I can arrange that, mud boy.”
Artemis realized she was becoming less and less stable; something kidnappers often do once they have thought they have won. “You want to let us go,” Artemis said in a mesmerized voice, calling the last of his magic up. He knew it was against the Book to use magic on another fairy, but he wasn’t one himself.
“I want to let you go?” She asked confused. “That does sound like a good idea…”
“Get back!” One of the sprites grabbed Juliet and pulled her away. Artemis panted as new sweat ran down his brow from his efforts at using the magic he had stolen a long time ago.
Her allies escorted her out of the room to get her head straight, and immediately, Holly tried to reach Artemis again. “Are you alright? You still have some magic left! I should have known! Next you’ll be doing the ritual!” She said through her tears, moving to wipe them away.
“I’ve been thinking about it. Maybe I will try it as an experiment. We could do it together if we get out of this alive and sane.” He looked at her a smiled slowly. “ETA?” He whispered.
“Half an hour. Hang tight, we are almost there.”
He hung his head, relieved. Time sure does fly when you are being tortured. The door to the room opened again and it was Root. She was furious. She grabbed Artemis by the back of his head and yanked it back, her Neutrino 3000 under his chin.
“I should blow your head off right now,” He eyes suddenly gleamed. “Oh, no. I have a better idea. Much better.” She forced him to look at her eyes to eyes. “How about you take this Neutrino 3000 and shoot yourself in the knee cap?” Her voice was layered and Artemis’ vein in his face bulged as he tried to resist.
“No,” Came his hoarse voice.
“Do you, mud boy, just pull the trigger. It’s not loaded. It’s just a game.”
And it sounded like a fun game to Artemis. A very fun game. “Alright,” He said taking the gun; it barely fit in his hand it was so small. “And I just pull this trigger?”
“Artemis!” Holy gasped, struggling fiercely. “Don’t do it. Look at me!”
He turned eyes towards her. “What Holly?” He asked, annoyed that she was trying to stop his fun.
“It’s not a game. Don’t do it,” Her own voice sounded amazing too, just like Juliet’s. As Butler’s sister would say, it was all Do Re Mi ish.
“Oh, I suppose it wouldn’t be wise then, to shoot myself.” He started to lower then gun when Juliet grabbed his face and turned him to look at her once more.
“Do it, mud boy. It is a game. A game you play with me all the time.”
Artemis smiled, as if he remembered something. “That’s right! I do play this with you all the time, though I don’t know why, because I hate games.” He said, shriveling his nose.
“That’s right. And this is you absolute favorite.” She said with a smirk breaking contact only for a moment to look at Holly. The elf was in dismay. If the LEP didn’t hurry and get here, Artemis would blow off his knee cap.
“Yes. Well. Should we play then? Do you want to go first? It is always polite to ask a female if she wants to make the first move.” He asked, offering her the weapon once more.
It was then that the door exploded and bombs of tear gas were released into the small room, making all the fairies hold their faces and buckle over in pain. The Section 8 Elite Squad hurdled into the room, grabbing all the captors and cuffing each one in turn. Juliet put up a fight, kicking and screaming, trying to overpower the three who grabbed her, but it was in vain. They took her down and slammed her against the ground.
“Leave him alone!” Holly called out through coughs, looking at Doodah Day. “He’s a good guy,”
“It’s alright. I’ll explain when we get to the station.” He said as he face was pressed against the wooden table. They were gentler with him though.
Artemis shook his head best he could, looking down at the weapon in his hand. He gaped and dropped it, appalled at himself. “I cannot believe I almost shot myself. I must remember to wear contacts in the he said with a glare at the gun. “Will someone untie us, please?”
“Getting yourself into a lot of trouble, aren’t you, Fowl?” Commander Vinyaya asked, walking casually into the room. “And Holly, you know it is against regulations to remove your uniform.”
“It was vital to the plan that we did not irritate Root.” Holly spoke as she was un shackled. She stood, rubbing her sore wrists. “As you can see, Minerva is a chip off the old block. Just like Artemis.”
“Alright, take them all to the shuttle. Make sure they do not escape. Leave that one,” She said, pointing at Day. “How the Hell did you get yourself in with Root?” She asked, un cuffing him.
“Was offered a job by a friend of mine. Figured Holly could use an inside pixie and I still owed her.” He said with a shrug. “I was right.”
“He fed me. And made it possible to power on the C Cube.” Artemis supplied as he felt his palm. “I cannot feel it, what happened to it?” He asked.
“It mended with you. Foaly should be able to get it out with his computer.” Minerva spoke up from the ear piece.
“And if he can’t?”Artemis mused, not liking the idea.
Minerva laughed, “Well, then you should avoid doing anything you don’t want us to hear for the rest of your life.”
He scowled. “Oh, goodie.”
OOOOOO
“I return you to the earth,” Artemis whispered, feeling emotions from the air well up into him, “And claim the gift that is my right.” He rose off the ground a few inches and gasped as he felt the magic flow throughout him, buzzing from his fingertips to his toes. It felt so amazing, so right, like this was who he really was. A being in tune to the earth and to magic. It was like he spent all of his life so empty inside and now he had this gift. Blue sparks played across his arms and down to his wrist, and up to his neck, healing the marks here. He took a sharp intake of breath at the feeling, and help back a moan. It was so pleasurable; magic was so pleasurable. “Is this how you feel, all the time? So amazing and alive?” He whispered, turning to look at Holly as she completed her ritual.
She smiled softly at him. “Yes, it is. You have been gifted, Artemis. The first human in ten thousand years. Even if the first bit was stolen, the earth has chosen to give you magic. You live by the Book now.” Holly withdrew a copy of the book, “I had this made for you. I knew this would work. Usually, it is a mother who gives you a Book, but…I figured it would be alright if I gave it to you.”
Artemis took the tome gingerly. It was not the size of a matchbox like Holly’s was; she had made it big enough that he could not crush it. “I have a dozen copies,” He started, looking her in the eyes, “But this one is the one that means the most to me, because it was not stolen for selfish gain; it was earned through friendship. I will cherish it always.”
“You have to carry it with you wherever you go.” She said as she stood. “Come on, your demon friends are waiting for you.”
The boy genius nodded. “Yes. I suppose I should not keep them waiting any longer. Can I see you off at Tara?”
“You are a friend. I’m sure you are welcome there.”
OOOOOO

OOOOOO
