Hiei's Harem - Pt. 10 - Initiating

Thanks for your reviews, Tachimaru and Legilmyth. I always look forward to your encouragement. I enjoy reading all of my reviews, but it seems that you two are the usuals. I would love to see what my other readers are thinking. Am I boring? Is the series becoming too long and drawn out?

Scene 8 ------------ Later That Day


* Hiei is patrolling his canyon. A habit he still carries even though he's come to trust the village's protection. When he comes to an area of the river and notices Troiyoku sitting in a meditative position he lands softly nearby so as not to startle his mate. The Fire hybrid glances up as Hiei makes his way over.


Hiei- Troyo.

Troiyoku- Master.


* Hiei settles down beside the very pregnant male. Troi returns his attention to the river.


Hiei- Are you okay, boy?


* For a couple moments Troiyoku is quiet.


Troiyoku- I think I'm going to deliver soon.

Hiei- And that depresses you?


* Troiyoku lowers his eyes.


Troiyoku- It's.. not really.. depression.. More like.. exhaustion.


* Now Hiei relaxes some.


Hiei- Hn.. That is normal, I suppose.


* Troiyoku watches Hiei look down at his belly.


Hiei- Are you sure you're only.. having one?

Troiyoku- Sometimes I only feel one.. Other times I'm not sure.. This is all so new to me.


* Hiei looks up at the boy, then looks away. He decides to preoccupy his mind on the latest situation concerning the female alpha. Troiyoku studies Hiei a moment.


Troiyoku- Are you.. pleased with us.. Me?

Hiei- Why would you ask such a thing?

Troiyoku- You've been.. avoiding contact with us.


* Hiei half glances at Troiyoku, then shakes his head.


Hiei- No avoidance was intended.. I've just learned to keep my distance from all your.. mood swings.. Speaking of which, what was going on with you earlier?


* The Koorime looks directly at Troiyoku.


Troiyoku- Something of more importance is troubling you, sir.

Hiei- I'll deal with that. I'm talking to you right now.

Troiyoku- If I tell you will you let me hear your concern?


* Hiei hesitates, then shrugs and sighs.


Hiei- Deal.

Troiyoku- Before you came.. Gam and I held all of Mother's attentions.. Us and Trinka were the reason for her doing what she did in bringing you here.


* Hiei brings up a knee and props his warded arm on it as he studies Troiyoku.


Hiei- I was under the impression that she did that to save the whole pack.

Troiyoku- Perhaps, to some degree.

Hiei- So now you're jealous because she has two new babies to devote herself to?


* Troiyoku looks away from Hiei's intense gaze.


Troiyoku- I know it's silly.. My little brothers are going to make you proud. Gam and I have both felt their strength already.

Hiei- Troi, you can't feel it right now, but your own strength has increased. Once this baby is born you'll feel the difference in yourself.. You and Gamaru both have come a long way from the first time I started training you.


* Troi looks at Hiei cautiously.


Troiyoku- But that doesn't make you.. nervous?

Hiei- H--- no. Should it?


* For several moments the only sound is the flowing river in front of them. Then Troiyoku relaxes and shakes his head with a chuckle.


Troiyoku- I can't speak for Gam, but I'm smart enough to know my place.. And I accept it.


* Hiei reaches over and lays his free hand on Troiyoku's thigh.


Hiei- Boy, if I refuse to lower any of my females to nothing more than concubines.. I won't do it to any of my subs, either.


* When Troiyoku hesitantly looks back toward Hiei the Koorime leans and captures the younger male in a kiss that leaves the boy panting for air when they part.


Hiei- Be thankful that I can control myself now that Spring is nearly over.


* Troiyoku chuckles. It then fades and he looks seriously at his Alpha.


Troiyoku- Now,.. your turn, Master.


* Hiei looks away for several moments to get his thoughts organized.


Hiei- I've just learned something from the cats that I'm not sure how to deal with

Troiyoku- What would that be?

Hiei- One of the top alphas in this region.. is a female.

Troiyoku- Seriously?


* Hiei looks at him.


Hiei- You didn't know?


* Troi shakes his head.


Troiyoku- I know very little outside of this ravine.

Hiei- Hn. I thought you would have heard something from that Father of yours.

Troiyoku- Gamock wasn't big on sharing.. information.

Hiei- Hn. Figures.

Troiyoku- Perhaps she must not have been much for him to be concerned about. He wasn't much for noticing females.. outside of using them.

Hiei- Perhaps he knew she'd be too much for him to handle. I hear she's not big on male authority.


* Troiyoku smirks at Hiei. The sight draws Hiei to lean and capture the boy in another deep, yet softer kiss. This time when Troi works back he is sporting a deep blush.


Hiei- What? You're my mate. I'm allowed to kiss you as much as I want.

Troiyoku- Hn.. Kiss that alpha b---- like that and she'll be no problem for you.


* Hiei rolls his eyes and stands.


Hiei- You're hormonily crazy if you think I'm going to bring another alpha female into this canyon.

Troiyoku- I guess that would be.. awkward.


* Hiei crosses his arms.


Hiei- How should I broach this new.. development with your Mother?


* Troiyoku glances back up at Hiei, then shrugs.


Troiyoku- Just straight out like you did me, I suppose.

Hiei- Hn.


* Hiei turns to leave.


Troiyoku- It was nice knowing you.


* Hiei pauses to glance back at Troi. He don't have to see the boy's face to know that he's stifling his laughter.


Hiei- You, boy, are lucky that you're pregnant.. Just don't forget that it won't last forever.


* Satisfied that his words have sobered Troiyoku, Hiei continues off on his way back to the main camp.
