The Hotspring
One of your 'Couple' are spotted nude-bathing in a lake at night by the other of the 'Couple'. (Hiei/Keiko)

Keiko hummed quietly to herself as she began to pitch her tent in the small spot she'd picked out for herself in the clearing. She and her parents were on an overnight camping trip in order to have some rest and relaxation, as well as spend some time together as a family and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful atmosphere that came with nature.
This was the first time that she'd ever been given the opportunity to have a tent to herself and she was enjoying every minute of it. She stood up, wiping the light layer of sweat that had built up on her forehead from the exertion. She smiled around at the forest. Finally, no exams, no classes. Just herself, nature and her parents, who were also taking a vacation from the family owned noodle shop. Keiko was on summer break, and they thought it would be a perfect time to have a vacation since Keiko would be going off to college in the fall.
Deciding that she should help lay out the camping supplies, Keiko set about bringing out the sleeping bags and the lamps, lanterns and cookware that her mother had bought to use specifically to cook over an open fire with. After she was done with that, she called to her parents, who were busily putting up their own tent.
"Mom! Dad! I'm going to collect some firewood!" She called out, taking a pair of gloves with her so that she wouldn't scrape her hands on the rough bark of the limbs that she would be collecting.
"That's a good idea, dear, you do that!" Mrs. Yukimura called back, not looking up from her task of helping her husband tie down their shelter for the night.
Keiko walked through the woods, not really keeping an eye on how far she traveled, just making sure that she knew her way back to their campsite while gathering firewood as she went. There were plenty of branches that had fallen and those where the ones that she gathered. Just as she was about to turn back, she spied a flash of water between the trees. She rounded a hedge of bushes, only to smell the mineral scent in the air and see a wonderful hotspring. She smiled, resolved to come back later, after supper. It would feel heavenly to clean up a little and the steam wafting up from the surface of the clear water looked particularly inviting, swirling on the breeze, almost as if it were beckoning to her. She quickly made her way back to the camp and set the arm load of firewood down by their firepit.
The rest of the day was spent just passing idle conversation with her parents, sharing tales of what had been going on in her young life as of late (though, as expected, she carefully skirted all talk of Spirit World, Spirit Detectives and the Demon World). She even got around to letting her parents know that the tentative relationship that she'd had with Yusuke had been once again reduced to the status of "best friends" and was more than likely staying that way from now on.
Hiei stumbled into the Ningenkai, more than a little worn out. He had been ambushed by quite a few demons on his way back to the Ningenkai on his way to visit his sister. Once more he wondered why torment himself with these visits of no status, only to see her eyes go downcast. Inwardly he knew, though, he was hoping that she would give up on the search. He looked down at himself. He was covered in the filthy remains of the demons that he had slain. He couldn't see her like this; he was not fit to be in her presence at all, much less in this unclean visage. Mukuro had given him a half-year to use as he saw fit, provided that he would be within the Ningenkai. The first thing that had come to him was to see his sister, what he would do with the remaining time, he had no clue. He turned away from Genkai's temple, intent on going as far as possible from her, from Yukina, his precious twin.
He vaguely wondered if the Detective had returned to claim Keiko. He silently snorted. Either way, it didn't matter... Or at least that was what he tried to tell himself. But in the end, he knew... Knew that he was lying to everyone, including himself. Somehow, between the time he'd kidnapped her to the time he left for the Makai, Hiei had lost whatever he had for a heart to her... to Keiko. Everything he loved, if he was to be honest with himself, was here, within the Ningenkai. He tried to deny it, but he was always drawn here. He finally stumbled across a hot spring. He smiled. At least he could be clean again before seeing anyone. His thoughts turned bitter, 'Clean? How can you ever be cleansed? You are the forbidden child, born unclean!'
Irritably, he stilled his thoughts and swiftly undressed. He dove into the hot water, relishing in the heat and wondering how long he could stay.
As he swam, his thoughts insisted on moving again. It wasn't as if he was ignorant of the actions between males and females, how could he be? Mukuro's proposal when he thought about it still gave him the shivers. He admitted that they had much, too much in common to ever be lovers, much less mates. He wanted someone full of spunk, but he didn't need someone who carried as much pain as he did. He wanted Keiko. He snarled, even as he dove his head under. Why couldn't he get that silly ningen out of his head? He asked himself. Yes, he was attracted to her. He couldn't have her, she was the Detective's! He really didn't want to fight Yusuke and it seemed inevitable if he approached her! He wondered if Yusuke was in the Ningenkai even now, claiming Keiko as his mate.
Thoughts like this raised his anger to frightening heights and knew that he had to curb his thoughts again, as he felt the temperature of the hot spring go up a notch. Fortunately not enough to set off the underground spring that fed it, he really didn't want to be arrested by Reikai for what was in essence, an accident, which would also cause him to have to fight Yusuke. When he got back to the Makai he would have to look up the Detective. If nothing else, he could see Keiko from afar. It wasn't as if he wasn't used to not having what he wanted. Though when he thought of Keiko, it seemed more of a need than a want. He groaned as he swam. At least his skin was clean, even if his soul wasn't.
Keiko sighed. The sun was sinking low in the horizon and if she didn't hurry, then she would miss her chance to delve into the hotspring for a short swim before dark. Pardoning herself from the campsite with the excuse of taking a walk to clear her head about her break-up with Yusuke (though really, she was now over that little drama in her life and was ready to move on) she made her way through the woods, following the path she'd carefully memorized earlier when she'd collected the firewood. She knew she must be close, and so hastened her step only to be halted by the sound of splashing water coming from the direction of her intended destination.
'What on earth? There can't be anyone else out here, can there? Maybe... maybe it's just an animal or something...' She thought to herself, once again starting forward, only this time slower and with a bit more stealth. She peered through the thick brush that surrounded the hotspring, creating a sufficient barrier, thinking that perhaps if she was lucky, she would catch a glimpse of a squirrel or rabbit, maybe even a deer!
What she actually saw was a beautiful sight indeed. Something that far surpassed anything that her mind could have possibly conjured.
Hiei was swimming in the hotspring, coming to rest on the bank, unaware of the fact that he was being watched. There were times he almost felt cleansed after these excursions into the Ningenkai. Everything was so innocent, so clean, here. He came to rest on the edge of the pool, his naked body, lean and sinewy, emerging from the heated water to rest on the bank. He pulled up the hiruseki stones that his mother had cried. Both his own, which Mukuro had given him back, and the one his sister had given him to help him search for her brother, unknowing that the one she had given it too had no need, or desire to search for him. He could feel a choked sob rising up in his chest as he wished that he could honestly search for Yukina's brother, and that it wasn't someone such as he, but someone worthy of having her as a sister.
He was shocked to feel a trace of wetness that had nothing to do with the water dripping out of his hair trail down his cheek. Before it got lost in the soft mud, he grabbed the black stone. He hadn't completely realized just how badly this was hurting him. He thought as he looked down on the stone. Yukina, and Keiko, two precious females, one he wanted to claim as his sister, but could really only hide his feelings behind the mask of anger. Though, once more, if he was totally honest, he was angry with himself. Next, he thought of the other.
"Keiko." He whispered aloud. He wished he could admit his feelings to her. He closed his hand around the stone and then with a violent push, started swimming, on his back, toward his clothing.
Keiko blinked, then blinked again as she found herself immobile, unable to tear her eyes away from the sight before her. 'Is that.... Hiei?'
The pure, clear water of the hotspring glistened on his skin, giving him an even more ethereal look. She felt her heart skip a beat and her breath hitch as she remained mesmerized by the sight of the ever elusive fire apparition. She was shaken from her stupor, however, when she heard him emit a sound that was suspiciously reminiscent of a choked sob followed by that familiar, deep voice whispering her name in such a pained tone that at first, she thought she had imagined it. Then, he was pushing off the bank, reimerscing himself in the steamy water; that deliciously toned body being hidden from sight, just barely.
She swallowed hard, not sure if she should stay and reveal her presence, or simply retreat back to camp and leave the obviously emotionally hurting youkai to his own devices. The choice was taken out of her hands, however, as when she took a hesitant step back, a sharp cracking sound rended the silence. In horror, Keiko glanced down, tentatively removing her foot from the branch she'd just stepped on. A splash had her quickly darting a gaze back to the pool, her eyes widening considerably when she saw that it was empty.
Hiei was gone.
Hiei heard the sharp crack as if it were a gun-shot from this world. He didn't know who it was that had seen him, but whoever it was had seen a side of himself that should never be seen. They must die. He was out of the water in an instant, not pausing at his clothing for his katana. Whoever this was would die by his own hands. He was still dripping wet, but that didn't matter, he could still choke them to death. He grabbed them from behind, only vaguely realizing that it was a female.
"Now, onna, you will tell me how much you saw." He registered the fact that she was only slightly taller than himself and caught himself when he started comparing her height with Keiko's, focusing instead on her.
Keiko gasped. "Hiei!" It was all she could think to say, or manage to for that matter, what with the tight grip he had on her throat at the moment. But apparently, that was enough. She allowed a sigh of relief to pass her lips when she felt his hand leave her throat. She raised a hand up to gently massage the abused flesh
.Hiei abruptly let her go, shock reeling through him. One of the subjects of his thoughts, and he had almost killed her! He really didn't deserve to live. He stepped back from her and lowered his face to the ground; it was the only thing he was fit to look at. He turned away from her to let her silently go back to wherever she had come from. Even with what she had seen, he could not bring himself to kill her, not with this ache holding him immobile. He was still holding his own tear-gem, as well as wearing his and his sister's. He couldn't force his voice to tell her to go, all he could do was wait for her to leave. Leave him alone once more with his thoughts.
Keiko stood motionless as well, finding it hard to leave, knowing that something was wrong. She could practically feel the grief in the air, it was so tangible. Turning around slowly, she stared at Hiei's back, not focusing on his nudity at the moment, but instead on his posture. The dejected slump of his shoulders and bowed head coupled with the sadness she'd heard in his tone earlier all added up to a nearly unbelievable conclusion, but knew it was the right one. Keiko, being a kind and loving person at heart, could not bring herself to leave him like this. She knew that he more than likely did not want or need her help. But she simply refused to just walk away without at least offering at least a bit of comfort.
With a small step forward, Keiko reached out a hesitant hand, and though it trembled slightly as she was unsure of his reaction to what she was about to do, she allowed it to rest lightly upon his bare shoulder and gave a reassuring squeeze.
Hiei shuddered as he felt the hand gently rest on his shoulder and slightly squeezed it. "Why?" He quietly asked. "Why do you not go? I could have killed you earlier!"
"I know," She whispered. "But that was my fault. I should have called out to alert you that I was here. Or perhaps I shouldn't have come back here at all, but then I didn't know you would be here at the time..." She took a breath, forcing herself to stop her rambling and get to the point. "Hiei... I'm not leaving because... I can tell something is bothering you. What is it? Please, tell me?"
Hiei didn't know if he even wanted to try to sort out his thoughts into any kind of coherent pattern, they had been running amok in his own thoughts that things were twisted around themselves. "I am not worth your concern, and I don't want your pity. Why do you care anyway?" He sank down to the ground, sitting facing away from her, trying to bring his pain back under control since he had loosed it when he had gone swimming. It had felt good to let it out, if only for a short time. What were the odds of this particular girl finding him and how much of his swim had she seen? Before she could answer his previous question, he asked, "My original question still stands, what did you see?"
Keiko hesitated. "I... I'm not too sure. It seemed like you were in pain... agonizing over something and I... thought I heard my name." She confessed, softly whispering the last few words for fear that what she'd heard had only been wishful thinking.
Hiei took a deep, shuddering breath. He wasn't sure whether to be upset with her or not having heard his one spoken word. He couldn't escape the fact that her admission sounded as if it was colored in hope. For the first time he truly looked at her, his emotions still not completely under control, but much better than they had been and so it was simply an intense look he gave her rather than a glare. "Would you have wanted me to?"
The question caught her totally off-guard, her legs becoming a bit unstable beneath her and so she sank to the ground to kneel before him. In a brave act, she shifted her hand from his shoulder to cup the side of his face, a small smile gracing her lips. "Would you be very angry if I said yes?" She murmured.
Hiei found his gaze caught by Keiko's. Her voice, eyes and question, coupled with her hand on his cheek all combined to hold him completely motionless. He opened his mouth, only to find that he was struck speechless as well. His first thought was, 'What about the Detective?' Closely followed by, 'She can't mean that!' He finally found his voice only to find that words were now escaping him. He finally settled on whispering, "No, but-" He found himself unable to complete the sentence.
Keiko's smile widened encouragingly. "But?" She prompted gently, wanting desperately to know his response.
He turned his head away from the smiling face. He didn't deserve to look upon such purity. He stood and turned back to the hot spring. "But I know your heart lies with the Detective and I know that you cannot mean that. Keiko, return to your camp." He silently added, 'Before I do something that I will not live to regret.'
It was at that moment that the realization that Hiei was still nude, struck her. The bright moonlight filtered down emphasizing his physique and, not to mention, very well rounded backside. She was almost hypnotized by the sight, even as she spoke to his retreating back. "Yusuke and I are not together anymore. We've been broken up for almost two months now. And I do mean what I say, Hiei. I would never lie to someone that I lo-" She cut herself off, not believing that she'd almost allowed it to slip. Perhaps it was the perfection that was Hiei's body that distracted her, enabling her defenses to fall and allowing the feelings that she'd been hiding for awhile now to be audibly spoken.
Hiei's sharp intake of breath was enough to tell her that he had mentally finished that word that she cut off. He closed his eyes against the pain swelling in his heart. It almost sank in, the fact that she and the Detective were no longer together, but her unfinished sentence. He didn't look at her, knowing she would see the pain resting in his eyes. "You can't mean that, Keiko. I am not worthy of your feelings." He whispered the last, knowing that she could hear every word. His heart held him here, even as his mind urged him to flee before he was hurt even more.
For some reason, Hiei's words angered her. For so long she had put up with Yusuke's stubborn-ness. He seemed forever convinced that she didn't know what she truly wanted. Just what the hell did it take to convince a guy that you cared for them? That you didn't want to see them hurt, physically or emotionally? The expression "actions speak louder than words" flashed through her mind and stuck there. Heedless of what he would do or think, or of the fact that he was entirely unclothed, Keiko lunged at him, embracing him from behind. Her arms went around his shoulders, clasping in front of his chest as she buried her face in his back. "What are you saying? That's not true and you know it. Everyone deserves to be loved, Hiei! Even you..."
He felt her arms go around him and was once more, shocked into stillness. It seemed that she was determined on this front. He clasped his hand over her joined ones even as he whispered, "You are wrong, Keiko. I am cursed." Before she could react to his words, he turned in her arms. "What if I did give into my feelings? Would that make any difference? I am the Forbidden Child. I would only end up hurting you." He cupped her cheek softly. "I do not want that."
"Let me be the judge of that." She said, gazing at him steadily. "I don't see a cursed being. Forbidden maybe, a bit stubborn, sure, but does that really mean you are cursed?" She implored.
"Why else would my mother's people have thrown me away? I don't want to hurt you and I'm afraid that I would end up doing just that." He looked at her face as if memorizing it to pull the memory out later and cherish it. He wanted to kiss her, wanted to show her just how much he wanted... and loved her but he was too afraid to. He needed to get out of there before he did something irrevocable, but once again, his heart kept him immobile, making him play this scene out.
"The sentiment is all well and good, but it still doesn't erase the fact that I have feelings for you and that you... possibly feel the same?" Keiko let out an exasperated sigh. "What will it take, Hiei?" She asked, "What will it take to prove to you that whatever status you were burdened with in the Makai doesn't stand up to the status that I've given you here, in the Ningenkai?"
"If I did not feel the same, then I would not be here, Keiko. You should know me enough by now to know that." He looked away from her. "As far as status goes, I'm not sure just how to answer you." He paused, but she could tell that he was simply searching for words. He finally said, "I don't know if status is quite the right word for my position in the Makai. My mother's people believed that I will only bring ruin and destruction where I go. So far, it has been the truth. Can you deny this, Keiko?"
"You may have destroyed, but haven't you also protected? You helped protect the Ningenkai with Yusuke from Sensui's madness and I'm sure there were other times before I even knew that Yusuke was a Spirit Detective, weren't there? I can't name them, but you must recall them!" Keiko countered.
Hiei closed his eyes as he recalled the Gate of Betrayal where Yusuke trusted him after he swore to kill him and so many times after that, where he told Yusuke, 'I have your back'. So many scenes flashed through his mind that he was forced to nod his agreement.
At his nod, Keiko gave a silent cheer. Going on, she said, "Besides, you claim to care for me, that you don't want to hurt me. How can you make that claim? You haven't even so much as kissed me yet?"
Hiei gave her an unreadable look. "Why? Do you want me to?" He silently wondered whether he was hoping for a positive or negative answer to his question.
The smile that widened Keiko's mouth had his pulse racing faster even before she spoke her response. "More than anything."
Hiei knew that the surge that went through him at that moment was the most intense feeling that he had felt. He closed his eyes and threw back his head, even as he clutched her closer. How such a miracle had occurred was something that he knew he would always question, but it didn't matter. Keiko actually wanted him. No one else, just him. He put a hand behind her neck, drawing her down. "I know that I'll always wonder what I did to earn me an angel's love, but..." He closed the distance between their lips, starting with an innocent pressing, letting her determine when to progress.
Keiko sighed against the gentle pressure of his lips, wanting more, but not sure if she should push. She was happy to have gotten this much out of the closed youkai, but she wanted more. More of the kiss... more of him. She allowed her tongue to slip from between her lips to lightly brush against his closed mouth, silently urging him to take complete possession of her.
Hiei felt the tentative brush of her tongue against his closed lips. This was the last straw. His feelings could no longer be held back, and if her response was anything to judge by, neither could hers. His tongue came out and forcefully took control of the kiss. He tilted her head so that he could take complete possession of her mouth. He moaned as he tasted her sweetness even as one of his hands crept down to her hips, pressing her into his hardness that was finally stirring to life, under control of his head no longer.
The passion of Hiei's kiss caused Keiko to moan into his mouth, her legs once more going weak. She leaned into him, feeling the hard muscles pressing into her soft curves and the tight grip of his hands on her hips. Her own hands were already rising up to bury themselves in that thick mane of highlighted ebony hair, like she had always wanted, but had never dared to do.
Hiei felt her hands bury themselves within his thick hair and without breaking their kiss, effortlessly lifted her, carrying her back towards the hotspring. He needed to lose himself within this girl. He needed to feel loved. As he finally broke the contact between their lips, he huskily asked, "Are you sure, Keiko?"
Keiko growled lightly. "Must I repeat myself?" She gently tugged on the back of his head.
Hiei easily withstood the pulling of her hands, giving her a small smirk. "No, I detest it, however that was for a simple kiss. This," He bent down, taking her lips once more in a voracious kiss, then pulling back slightly, panting, "Is for so much more." He whispered as he ghosted his hands over her curves, just barely brushing sensitive areas that he knew would actually make her want more.
Keiko bit back a moan, her eyes closing as she arched slightly into him, almost wantonly. "If you must hear it, then, yes. Yes, I'm sure." She opened her eyes in order to look directly into Hiei's red ones. "I want you, Hiei."
Hiei couldn't believe it, but his heart latched onto the words even more than he had clasped his mother's stone to him when he was a baby. "Keiko." He bent down, pressing slightly firmer down onto her breast, cupping it. Now that he had her permission to proceed, he wanted to have her naked under him moaning his name even as he made her forget her own. His other hand went to her blouse, silently looking to her and making sure it was all right to unbutton it as he started with the top button.
A wordless nod was all it took and Keiko was quickly bereft of her blouse, which was quickly followed by her bra. Leaning down, Hiei took the tip of her right breast within his mouth, allowing both tongue and teeth, being mindful of his fangs, to tease the tiny bud. He relished her cries of pleasure and wanted to hear more. This was his justification for existence. He loved her flavor, the sound of her voice and her quiet understanding. She had been exasperated with him, it was true. But beyond that, she was patient and found out what the root of his problem was.
He didn't like to think of just how much his mother's people haunted him, even now. His hand crept to her other breast, as his mouth continued to lick and nibble the one. She was such a treasure. His angel. His heart overrode his head even as his head insisted that he was dragging his angel into his personal hell. He loved her. He acknowledged that finally, within the depths of whatever soul he had left.
He gently placed her feet on the ground even as he bent down to his own clothing, grabbing his cloak. He didn't want to take her on the ground, and this would give her some insulation. They were close enough to the hotspring to still feel the heat from it, but not close enough to get wet. He held one hand up to her, still without saying a word, just letting his heart talk through his eyes his mind not letting it use his voice.
Keiko held his gaze, unable to break free from its intensity, and in reality, not really wanting to. She watched as, with a flick of his wrist, the black flowing cloak that he normally wore flared out sharply before floating gently to spread upon the bank, forming a suitable bedding. Keiko blushed then, the realization of what she was about to do with Hiei flashing through her mind. What she had secretly been wanting for awhile now. When Hiei quickly took back possession of her mouth, Keiko sighed, allowing herself to be lifted up and then settled down atop the soft, dark material.
Hiei swiftly took over her mouth once more. He could not get enough of her flavor and ravenously devoured her. He pressed her head back into his scarf which he rolled into a pillow for her even as his body pressed into her, molding her curves to his own hardness. He moaned at the feeling of his body pressed fully against hers for the first time, even if her pants were still a cloth barrier. It would be dispensed with just as her shirt and that silly piece of wire and cloth had. His own manhood pressed into her thigh as his hand started caressing a breast.
Spreading her legs to accept him, Keiko could do nothing more but grasp Hiei's strong shoulders as she was swept away in sensation. As he drifted down to nibble at her neck, she vaguely felt one of his hands ghosting down her chest, past her stomach and come to a stop at the waistband of her jeans. With a deftness that bespoke of much practice, the top button was released from its hole, the sound of her zipper being lowered following close behind. Hiei shifted his weight in order to lean back. Quickly removing her hiking shoes and socks, both hands returned to settle at her waist, grasping the top of both the rough, blue jean material as well as the soft, satiny cloth beneath, drawing them down simultaneously. Keiko lifted her hips to assist him, letting him remove her final articles of clothing.
Hiei removed her last pieces of clothing, only to pause and gaze upon what could only be called perfection. Small, perky breasts, a slightly concave stomach, long slim legs and right in the middle, a beautiful thatch of hair concealing her core from his gaze. He felt himself getting even harder just looking at her. He met her eyes and groaned. "You are perfection itself, Keiko."
Though her breathing was a bit ragged, Keiko couldn't help but give a playful smile. "Yeah? Well, your not too shabby yourself." She murmured, taking in Hiei's compact, but well muscled form. She allowed her eyes to stray downward, her cheeks growing warm as she saw the actual size of him and had the gall to lick her lips. "Nope, not shabby at all."
Hiei paused, he was certain of the answer she would give, but he still wanted to know the answer verbally. "Are you untouched?"
Her blush deepened. "Yes."
He smiled vaguely, not a smirk, but a true smile. He would not have turned her away, but there was a primal satisfaction in knowing that he was the first to take her. "I'm glad." He covered her body with his own once more, determined to pace himself for her. He kissed his way down her neck until he found her breast, taking the tip into his mouth, even as his fingers carefully threaded their way through her curls, seeking the treasure hiding beyond them.
Keiko shuddered as he lightly slipped a finger between her folds, gently flicking a spot that sent a surge of electrical pleasure throughout her body before drifting further down to dip into her core slightly. She gasped and arched against him, begging for him to continue and not stop. To never stop. He responded to her silent plea by flicking that aching nerve again, repeatedly this time, sending her body into jerking spasms as she cried out and clutched him close.
Hiei felt her heat and wetness and wanted to enter her immediately. He knew to do this, however would have caused her more pain. He knew that some pain would ensue; the fact that she was indeed a virgin told him that. There were ways to minimize this, however. He kept his thumb moving over her bundle of nerves even as his finger entered her and felt that hot tightness clenching his finger causing both of them to gasp. He started a slow paced in and out motion, teaching her the movements that his body would soon be following.
Keiko's body followed his lead, hips rocking in sync with the rhythm that Hiei's hand was setting. She gasped, clutching his shoulders tightly, as he curled his finger and rubbed a certain spot that had her body convulsing in no time at all. One hand left his shoulder, trailing across a chiseled chest and down a taunt stomach before hesitating just before reaching that hot, hardened flesh that prodded her thigh insistently.
Hiei shuddered and moaned as her fingers first brushed his manhood. He pulled back to look in her eyes, wanting to see her expression. He knew that she had found her peak and needed to find his own. She innocently moved her fingers along him, making him even harder. "Keiko!" He gave a hoarse cry, forcibly holding himself back from coming in her hand. He crushed her lips underneath his own, conveying his longing for this.
Keiko was pleased with this response and allowed her hand to work the heated length as she returned the kiss. Almost instinctively, Keiko's hand paused in its sensual massage, wrapping completely around Hiei's member in a firm grip as if knowing that the action would still his nearing orgasm. Hiei broke the kiss and threw back his head, letting out a sharp hiss of pleasure.
"I love you, Hiei. I want you inside of me." She whispered in an almost pleading tone. Her hand gave a single loving stroke along his length as she added a whispered, "Please." in his ear.
Hiei looked into her serious expression and nodded. He carefully guided himself to her opening. "Forgive me, Koishi, for causing you pain." He whispered just before he swiftly pushed into her, breaking her barrier and causing her to cry out in pain. He held completely motionless within her, giving her time to adjust to the intrusion.
With the stretching of her feminine walls, adjusting to accommodate Hiei's size, the pain eased gradually, eventually being replaced with a pleasant ache that prompted Keiko to shift against him. They both gasped at the plethora of sensations that single move caused, igniting a yearning for more of the same and Keiko responded in kind, shifting against him again.
Hiei followed her lead in starting to move again. His biggest problem would be holding back until she could come with him. He was so close to his own orgasm that he would have to bring her to her own orgasm again soon. He started a slow pace with her as one of his hands crept up to her breast, tweaking the nipple even as his lips ravished hers once more. As she followed his rhythm, he slowly sped up.
With each frantic thrust, Keiko felt another of those mind blowing orgasms drawing closer. She hastened her movements as well, wrapping her legs tighter around Hiei's waist in order to get better leverage in which to increase the momentum of her upward thrusts. She felt the hand Hiei had cupping her breast abandon the mound and move downward, snaking its way between their writhing bodies and come to rest at where they were joined. A bit preoccupied to wonder just what he was about to do, Keiko was taken off guard when Hiei's fingers captured that little bundle of nerves and gave a firm pinch that launched her over the threshold of pleasure and into a world of overwhelming rapture. Screaming his name, Keiko came while literally quaking around Hiei, rhythmically squeezing his length.
Hiei felt his own climax approaching and her contractions caused him to plummet off that cliff into bliss. He clamped down on the side of her neck, marking her as his for all time before collapsing on top of her, feeling completely drained. "Keiko, my Keiko." He murmured, even as he drifted on the tide of satisfaction bordering on sleep.
Keiko, too, was caught up in the aftermath and remained silent in order to catch her breath, looking up to catch Hiei's eye when she felt him suddenly tense above her. "Hiei?" She asked gently. "What's wrong?"
It had suddenly caught up with him, what he had just done. He had mated Keiko! Pure, innocent, he knew that and was wearing some of the proof on his shaft. He had sullied one of the most precious things to him. "Keiko, I just brought you into my world with our act. How can I forgive myself?"
Keiko's brows furrowed in confusion until the actual meaning of his words hit her. "Hiei..." She lovingly cradled his face in her hands, keeping his gaze locked with hers. "There's nothing to forgive. You haven't done anything that I didn't want and as for you bringing me into your world, well... that's exactly where I want to be. I love you, Hiei." She kissed him gently, proving her point with action, knowing that words wouldn't be enough for the tortured fire apparition.
Hiei softly kissed her back, then pulled back to look at her, "But my world is one of pain, blood and death, how can you want to be part of it? I love you, too, but that means that I should have contented myself with watching you from afar, protecting you without being closer." He clutched her to him even as he wanted to be a million miles from what he just did. "I should have been strong enough to deny myself." He murmured into her neck.
Hiei's response left Keiko at a loss of how else to convince him of anything other than what he deemed "the truth". Instead, she regressed to simply giving wordless comfort by holding him close and running her fingers through his soft hair. After a long time, Keiko decided that if she were going to clean up and get back to camp before her parents began to worry, then she had best do it soon. She gently shook Hiei, who was still resting atop of her, seemingly as unwilling to release her from their embrace as she was. "Hiei, it's getting late, and I need to get cleaned up and head back to camp. My parents will be worried if I don't show up soon."
Hiei hadn't realized, though he knew that he should have, that she would be here with other people. He wondered what it felt like to actually have parents who worried over you. He knew that she was right. He nodded as he levered himself away, slowly pulling out of her, causing both of them to moan. "We both need to clean up." He looked down in a peculiar blend of satisfaction and guilt seeing the proof of her virginity on her thighs and his member. "Afterwards, I will escort you back to camp."
Keiko nodded, allowing him to draw her to her feet. She winced lightly at the twinge of soreness emanated from between her legs. Hiei saw the twinge of pain, "I am sorry, but the hot water will ease you." He lifted her into his arms and placed her into the water.
"Thank you," Keiko sighed, immediately feeling better as the heated liquid surrounded her lower half and did indeed ease the dull ache of her sex. She slipped further into the water, allowing it to rise up to her shoulders before submerging her head in order to wet her hair. She relished in the warmth for awhile before finally sighing and began to scrub her body free of all traces of her previous activity.
Hiei watched Keiko for a while, seeing her moving with ease now. He had a soft half smile on his face as he contemplated his mate. He still couldn't believe that he had actually mated with her and it seemed like a dream. He swam over to her, cupping her cheek. "Did I dream this?"
Grasping at the hope that he might be coming to an acceptance of a relationship between them, Keiko smiled encouragingly. "No... I'm real." She said, "It's all real."
Hiei tried to comprehend the fact that he wouldn't be lonely anymore, wouldn't have to only have his thoughts for company. But it was hard to sink in after everything he had been through. He clasped her with a choked sound that might have been a sob. "I am glad, Keiko. My days have been spent with only my thoughts and my sword, especially of late. I need company, but there was no one. Not when you were what my heart longed for. My head couldn't accept it and if you'll forgive an old demon for not asking you first, I will escort you to your parents. I don't know if I can take you back with me to the Makai immediately, things are a little disturbed right now."
Keiko felt tears of mixed happiness and sadness sting her eyes. "I understand, Hiei, and I would love it if you walked with me back to camp." She exited the water and went over to the bush she'd stood behind when she had first approached the hotspring and had spotted Hiei. Picking up the towel she'd brought with her but had dropped, she proceeded to dry her wet skin. She finished, then donned her clothes as well, turning back just in time to catch Hiei's eye. He was already dressed and his hair was even dry. She smiled gently, reaching her hand out to take hold of his. Together, they walked through the woods in the direction of her parents' camp ground.
Hiei found himself amused as he walked by her side. He had never had parents as such, and for someone to come home to that worried about him, that was something special. "Do you think your parents would accept me?"
Keiko grinned, "I have no doubts about it. They were all ready to accept Yusuke, after all."
"Hn, at least I do not neglect my duties." He turned to her, stopping her for the moment and gently kissed her. "And you, Keiko, my love are far more important than they are." He added after a moments thought, "Though they have been informed that you are no longer seeing the Detective?"
Keiko nodded, "I told them earlier, right before I came down to the hotspring," She blushed a bit, "Mom even commented, saying that she had expected something of the sort and even went so far as to ask me who I was thinking of that I wasn't as upset about the whole break up to begin with."
Hiei chuckled as they started walking once more. "Your mother sounds like a very observant woman." He couldn't believe that he, a demon, was afraid to gain the approval of two Ningens, of all things, but parents seemed to be a different thing altogether. After all, hadn't the fox been terrified that his mother would find out what he was? He sighed. "And your father?"
"Dad's pretty much neutral on the whole thing. He's always told me that whatever makes me happiest is what he wants for me." Keiko grinned at him, "You'll do just fine." She assured him.
"Hn, neutral? I shall have to meet them." Hiei told her, sniffing the air. "I can smell two ningens over there and the smell of a camp fire, along with something that smells burnt, but sweet?"
Keiko sniffed the air herself. "Oh! They're roasting marshmallows!" She exclaimed happily, grasping Hiei's hand a bit tighter in her own, she tugged. "Come on, you've got to try some!" She urged.
Hiei gave a half smile at her happiness and followed her into the campsite. He paused a moment on the edge to see Keiko's parents. They looked so, normal, he decided. Nothing looked strange, or exceptional; in fact, had he passed them on the street he never would have given them a second look. He looked back at the smiling face of his mate as she greeted them and followed her into the circle of light, where they could see him, too. He waited for someone to say a word, as he found silence to be very comfortable.
The older couple by the fire looked up, a greeting on their lips for their only daughter. Mrs. Yukimura stalled only an instant, taken slightly off guard at the appearance of a young man at her daughter's side.
"Oh, Keiko, dear, you're back.... and you've brought a... friend?"
Keiko smiled tentatively at her parents, tugging Hiei forward by the hand as she prepared to introduce him. "Mom. Dad. I'd like you to meet Hiei. He's someone very special to me." She said, putting emphasis on 'special'.
Hiei nodded at them both, trying to obey manners. That was one way to describe their relationship, as far as it went, that was.
Keiko's father raised a brow. "Just how special is special, Keiko?"
"Beyond Yusuke special," She said softly, earning her looks of surprise from both her parents. Nobody had ever been beyond that special to their daughter.
"Hn." Hiei agreed, startling them both with the depth of his voice from someone so short.
Keiko's father asked, "Then I suppose I shall be hearing an offer for you?" Earning him a confused glance from Hiei before transferring this same look to his mate.
"Daaad!" Keiko whined.
The sound of Keiko's mother's hands being clapped together in a pleased gesture startled Hiei, his eyes jerking back to the older woman. "Oh, that would be wonderful! There's hope for grandchildren yet!" She crowed happily.
"Mom!" Keiko groaned, embarrassed, even as Hiei looked back at her in amusement.
Hiei was pleased with this kind of reception. He guessed it was true that all mothers thought about grandchildren, or at least that's what Kurama was complaining about last time he saw his friend. He murmured to Keiko, "But we are already mated, what is the offer that he speaks of?"
Keiko ducked her head, bringing it close to Hiei's ear. "Marriage," She whispered, "He wants a wedding. A ningen one."
Hiei thought about it. He couldn't say that he truly liked the idea; after all, they were already married by demon custom. "And you?" He tilted her face to look into her eyes, "Do you want this wedding?"
Keiko lowered her eyes, "Well... I am human, Hiei."
"Hn," He said by way of agreement. "However you are mine now, Keiko." He clasped her close and looked back at the two humans by the fire. "I have already made my offer to Keiko, and she has accepted it. There shall be a wedding." Just then, Hiei felt a flicker of ki and knew that he was still being hunted. "Keiko, go over to the fire and stand by your parents." He removed his cloak and scarf, handing them to her.
Keiko accepted the articles of clothing and did as Hiei told her, quickly making her way to her parents' side, who were both giving her questioning looks. Keiko hoped that she was wrong, but judging by the way Hiei was standing, a stance she had seen him use once in the Dark Tournament, she knew that trouble was afoot. "Just stay close to me mom, dad. Don't get out of the campfire light." She said simply.
Hiei went into a crouch, hand poised to draw his sword. He didn't think he'd have to use anything fancy, there were only two of them, after all, though how he was going to explain this afterwards was a totally different question. He saw the two enter the clearing, fortunately from the same direction that he had just come from. He knew that Keiko's parents could only see silhouettes of them, but that was ugly enough. He sneered. "You didn't learn by the death of the others?"
One of them spoke, his voice low, gravelly and not terribly pleasant. "If it isn't Mukuro's heir, consorting with mortals?"
"Oh, this is rich!" The other had a very high, birdlike quality to his voice.
Hiei's eyes flashed, but didn't say anything yet, waiting for them to make the first move, his first priority to protect Keiko and her parents.
The larger of the two entered the clearing, "So, shall I eat them?"
The other sniffed the air. "I want to eat his mate!"
Hiei growled. "You shall never touch her!" He snapped, even as he leaped forward, drawing his sword at the same time and slicing the large one into several pieces. He turned to the other one, "Are you any more skilled than he was bird?"
"What!?!?"
"You heard me." Hiei sized them up, these were barely even C-class demons and he could feel the big one's youki already dispersing.
The bird-like one took to the air, hoping that he could get behind Hiei and thus snatch one of the mortals, or maybe even take him by surprise.
Hiei flitted to a treetop; waiting for his decent, even as he sent a warning down to Keiko, ~This one should land in, or near the fire. Move.~ He met the bird on his descent, splitting him. He looked below to see if Keiko had followed his instructions, even as he landed by the fire himself.
Keiko had indeed heeded his warning, having herded her parents a safe distance away from the fire and was now headed back in his direction to check and see if he was injured. "Are you alright, Hiei? Who were those de- um, men?" She asked, catching herself at the last minute, casting a glance over her shoulder and back toward her parents.
Hiei nodded. "They never even touched me." He glared at the remains that were even now evaporating. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," She replied before turning back to her parents. "How about you two? Are you alright, mom, dad?"
Keiko could see her mother's somewhat befuddled expression, but still she nodded that she was fine. Her father, however, had a totally different expression on his face.
Keiko's father cleared his throat before he could manage to talk. "I need explanations, young man. Normal people do not do that, nor do . . . men," He added, tripping over the label, "Look like that. Now, shall we try this again?"
Hiei sighed. It hadn't helped his status with his mate's parents, and he knew that it wouldn't. "Please, come sit down, and let me explain some things, sir, madam." He held Keiko close as if she was a life-line. He really hoped that they could accept a partial truth. Once they were seated by the fire again, the father with some reluctance, Hiei sat on a boulder next to the fire with Keiko in his lap. He told them about being Mukuro's heir, though the way he explained it, she was the head of a cybernetics research facility and that these things had been sent by a rival company that was developing some very sophisticated, but unstable, and dangerous beings. They talked for about an hour before her parents seemed to actually buy the story, Hiei doing some very creative verbal stepping that would have made a kitsune mad with envy.
Keiko sighed in relief when her parents first showed sign of falling for Hiei's carefully constructed, though somewhat outrageous, cover story.
'Cybernetics research facility, indeed.' She thought, momentarily forgetting about Hiei's ability to read minds. She started slightly when his voice filtered through her head.
Hiei's chuckle echoed. ~You will notice, however that they are indeed taking the story. Most are willing to accept mundane explanations, rather than demons and magic. Mukuro is actually part cyborg herself.~ To outward appearance they were sitting there, still waiting for her parents judgment.
Her father asked, "Keiko, you are okay with this?"
Keiko smiled assuringly, "Absolutely dad! I love Hiei and don't mind what he does. He is able to keep me safe enough, as you've both witnessed."
Her father shook his head briefly, then had to acknowledge her point. "This is true. What do you think dear?"
Keiko's mother looked from her only daughter to the dark haired young looking man she sat beside. Quite closely, Mrs. Yukimura added in her mind in silent observation. She could tell her daughter truly cared and trusted this person with her life. How could a mother deny her daughter what she wanted if she was so positive of her decision? "I'm fine with it, my love. Whatever makes Keiko happiest." She then turned her gaze on Hiei. "You'd just make sure you keep my baby safe. Are we clear on that?"
Hiei nodded. "It is my priority." He replied in a tone that stated that anything else was completely unacceptable. "It is for this reason that I wish her to stay with you until the assassination attempts against me are finished. She will be safe with you."
Alarm once again rose in Keiko's parents' eyes, as well as in Keiko's own this time. "Assassination attempts?" Keiko's voice held a worrisome quiver, almost as if she were about to cry.
Hiei looked at her, "I told you things were unsettled. Those two were but part of a group from earlier. Even Mukuro sent me away temporarily for my safety, it wasn't her fault that there was a group waiting. I shall be here for about a half year, then I shall be going back, if things are safe once more, then I shall come back for Keiko. If this is acceptable?"
Both of Keiko's parents agreed that it was acceptable and then excused themselves and turned in for the night, leaving their daughter and, in their eyes, her new fiancé, to themselves.
Hiei held Keiko close to him. "Once more, I have dragged you into my world of death. Keiko, I'm a demon."
Keiko grinned at him, "Yes, but you're my demon!"
Hiei chuckled, "You are right. I am yours. Now come, I can do without sleep, but you, cannot."
Six months later...
Keiko watched as Hiei left to return to the Makai. The wind whipped her hair about her face and she reached up to swipe it away in order to catch the last fleeting glance of black as he flitted away. Silently, she wondered how long he would be gone. Hopefully, not too long. She was already missing her mate.
Hiei glanced back just before he entered the portal. He'd never had so much reason to come back here before and hoped that everything was secured in the Makai once more. He knew Keiko was strong willed, but it had never manifested itself so much as in these last six months.
~I will be back for you, soon.~
Two days later...
Keiko tried not to mope, she really did. But for the life of her, she could not keep from dragging her feet wherever she went, nor would the depressed slump leave her shoulders. She tried to take her mind from the ache in her heart that the absence of Hiei had left and went back to work at her family's noodle shop, hoping the busy schedule would keep her mind off of more depressing things.
Keiko's mother noticed how much Hiei's absence was affecting her daughter. Only two days had passed, but looking at her daughter, who had been so happy for the last six months, she could hardly believe it. Hiei had always seemed so dark, but he lit up her daughter like no one else ever could. They had been married with a minimum of fuss, but it had made her daughter happy. Now, she was beginning to wonder if she would ever see that paradoxical young man ever again.
Keiko's father had had his doubts when he had given his blessing that night, but that seemed like a lifetime ago. Hiei was quiet, and seemed to do a lot of brooding, as if either many years weighed him down, or a very heavy burden. He knew that his son-in-law had not told him everything, but he knew that it was close enough that he could treat the information as real. The one thing he could not deny was Hiei's feelings for Keiko. Hiei could be in the darkest depression, but it only took one look from Keiko, or hearing her laugh and Hiei's face underwent a transformation.
Nothing obvious, just his eyes. They would lighten and he'd turn towards her. He'd helped out, to a certain extent, around the ramen shop, but for the most part, he just paid them rent.
It was during a lull during the evening crowd when the door opened. It had been raining all day, and this person certainly looked like he'd been out in it. He shook his head of black and white hair, trying to get some of the water out of it when a voice he'd been missing for two days came from the side.
"Hiei!"
In a flurry of white apron and streaming auburn hair, Keiko raced across the dining area of the ramen shop and literally threw herself into her mate's welcoming, though sopping wet, embrace.
Hiei clasped her close, using a small portion of his heat to make sure she didn't take a chill from the rain soaked cloth. "Keiko." He breathed into her hair. "I'm happy to report that I can bring you home."
