Chapter 1: A Fire Apparition's Heat

Hiei panted as another low-classed demon fell to his sword. He had felt cramped and tight for a few days now, and Yusuke had made it his business. There were times that Hiei could kill the ex-Reikai Tantei and this was one of those such times. He had insisted on accompanying Hiei into Makai, no matter what the fire apparition said, however Hiei was secretly happy for the company. Yusuke wasn�t like Kurama, didn�t stay silent so that he felt obliged to speak. Nor was he like Kuwabara, who teased Hiei mercilessly. Yusuke was a happy medium, one that listened to him when needed and yet who treated him as a friend, not as an antagonist. Pushing the tip of the katana in the ground, he used it to lean on.

Yusuke gave a cocky grin as he walked towards the fire apparition, but the grin disappeared quickly once he saw Hiei�s position. No matter how strong Hiei was he looked so, for the lack of a better word, weak. Hiei was in no fit state to be out in the open, he approached the apparition and touched his shoulder. Hiei barely reacted at all, usually Hiei would have said something at least, but at the moment he seemed so empty. Without further ado, Yusuke pulled off Hiei�s saya and replaced the katana and lifting Hiei in his arms he searched for the cave that he had found earlier. As he traced his steps back, Hiei was very quiet, so unlike him. It made him worry more. Leaning Hiei against a wall, Yusuke left to collect stuff to make a bed for his friend. Hiei didn�t need to sleep on the cold, hard ground,

Returning with a few branches and foliage he set about making that bed for him, and upon it�s completion he gently picked Hiei up and lay him down on it. Hiei was so hot to the touch, burning up as though he was fevered. Knowing that he needed to cool Hiei�s body temperature to normal Yusuke slowly started to remove Hiei�s clothing, trying not to look at the body he desired, yet he knew that it was possible that he would never get another chance. He allowed his eyes to roam over the body laid out before him, before he took Hiei�s coat-like cloak to a nearby lake and dipped it into the cool waters, and used his own shirt to make a cloth to wipe over Hiei�s face.

Once he was ready, he returned back to his charge and again stared in awe. Hiei seemed asleep, yet Yusuke knew that it was possible that Hiei knew that Yusuke had returned. He then walked over to Hiei and smiled down at him. He draped the cloak over Hiei, whose eyes flew open with the touch of the cold fabric against his skin. "It�s okay, Hiei, I�m trying to lower your temperature a little. I know that you have a higher body temperature than other races, but not as high as it is. Let me care for you, Hiei." Yusuke said, and smiled as Hiei relaxed.

"Yusuke, I�m hungry." Hiei said, barely loud enough for Yusuke to hear, but Yusuke smiled as he looked in the supplies that he had thought to take with him. He winked at Hiei as he dug deep into the bag.

"Hiei, what would you like to eat?" Yusuke asked as he took a variety of travel rations out of the bag, mostly precooked before he left, to make sure that even if they had no fire that they wouldn�t go hungry. Getting no answer Yusuke pulled a chicken from the stuff that he had taken and Yusuke approached Hiei, who looked up at him and smiled as Yusuke offered the chicken to him. "Here, take what you want, there�s plenty of food to last us a while." Hiei first stared at the food and then at Yusuke, who offered the food to him. He took the offered meal from Yusuke and started eating. However when Yusuke moved to leave, Hiei grabbed his arm, silently asking him to stay, which Yusuke did. Sitting beside Hiei, the fire apparition lay his head on Yusuke�s lap as he chewed the tender meat, and Yusuke couldn�t help but smile.

"Don�t leave me, Yusuke." Hiei said quietly. "I want you to stay here with me, at least for tonight." Who was Yusuke to refuse such a request? Moving to lie beside Hiei, Yusuke pulled him closer, still aware that Hiei was eating and smiled as Hiei offered him some of the chicken, and Yusuke accepted, knowing that it would make Hiei happy. Yusuke licked Hiei�s fingers clean, before noticing that Hiei was offering him more and accepted the second offering too.

Once the chicken was finished, Hiei draped an arm over Yusuke�s chest and lay his head against Yusuke�s shoulder. Yusuke gently stroked down Hiei�s back, as Hiei slept, a small vocal moan was made. It made Yusuke smile, Hiei was so different than what he was when Yusuke had first met him. Back then Hiei was almost the opposite of how he was now, but time had changed the other�s heart. Yusuke liked to think that it was his influence, but he knew that there was more to it than that� wasn�t there? With that he fell asleep too.

As the morning came around Hiei awoke, not in the same position that he had been in when he had fallen asleep. He was now straddling Yusuke�s hips, not that Yusuke was caring. He was sound asleep, although his arms were holding Hiei to him. He felt contented to lie in Yusuke�s arms, his body demanded that, and he couldn�t stop one of his hands from ghosting over Yusuke�s face. He could feel Yusuke�s breath against his skin. A moment later and Yusuke�s eyes opened, no sign of him wakening slowly. Had Yusuke been awake for the whole time? His eyes said that he was. "Good morning, Hiei." Yusuke said as Hiei scrambled off of him. He hadn�t really thought of the position that he had found Hiei in earlier until Hiei moved off of him.

Hiei flashed a look at Yusuke who was now blushing bright red. "Good morning, Yusuke." He said with a purr, as he leaned on his elbow. He couldn�t help but tease Yusuke slightly. He knew that it wasn�t Yusuke�s fault that they ended up in the position that they had. He then proceeded to stroke a hand over Yusuke�s bare chest. Yusuke, shocked beyond belief, made a beeline for the exit of the cave as Hiei chuckled to himself. Yes, he did like to tease Yusuke very much.

Yusuke ran all the way to the nearby lake, keeping a look out for the flicker of black that he was used to symbolising Hiei, and seeing no sign of the other apparition he relaxed. He then proceeded to bathe in the lake, before seeing a few good sized fish and decided that they would make a good breakfast for himself and the hormonal fire youkai, and catching them, he smirked as they tried, feebly, to return to the lake. Picking up his catch, he started back to the cave, when he suddenly picked up another�s scent also heading towards their temporary residence. Only one thought ran through his mind: Was his Hiei okay?

Hiei had worked out that he was in heat, after all why else would he be chasing after his closest male friend unless he wanted to have his ass fucked? Even that thought made him moan with desire. The body that he had straddled before felt so good against his own needy body. There was no doubt now, he wanted Yusuke Urameshi. He wanted his best friend as his bed-mate, at least while they were still here. However his musings were cut short when a shadow stood at the entrance of the cave, the shadow wasn�t Yusuke�s it was of another demon. Hiei made a small noise of protest as the other demon started to enter the cave. Hiei couldn�t hold back the whimper that had been threatening to escape. Then there was a second shadow, and Yusuke�s familiar scent, Hiei gave a slight whimper, speaking of fear and Yusuke quickly got the message.

The following fight was short and bloody. The demon was an A-class, and no real match for Yusuke�s S-class strength. Once Yusuke was sure of the other�s demise, he then approached his friend and pulled him into a tight hug, the scent of Hiei�s heat was now very clear to him. He wouldn�t allow another to have his fire apparition, and the thought shocked him. Did he really want Hiei so badly? He pulled back from Hiei, to look into the other�s face, and Hiei pulled Yusuke�s face to his and gave him a chaste kiss. However before Hiei released him, Yusuke pulled Hiei tighter to him and gave a more passion-filled one. Hiei couldn�t help himself but return the kiss, this was what he wanted after all. He melted into the embrace, feeling Yusuke guiding them towards the makeshift bed. Pulling at Yusuke�s trousers he finally bared Yusuke to his view. Dropping to his knees, Hiei nuzzled against Yusuke�s crotch before licking up the length of his shaft. Hiei knew that it would be best for Yusuke to be lying down, so he remedied that by reluctantly pulling back and motioned Yusuke to lie down, and as though he was in a trance, Yusuke followed Hiei.

Having Yusuke now horizontal, Hiei was in a much better position. He would have his Detective, he returned to licking Yusuke. He held Yusuke�s hips tightly as he took his time, after all if things were rushed there�d be dire consequences. Only when he was sure that Yusuke was ready did Hiei pull back, his heat driving him on. He turned his back on Yusuke as he pressed his fingers against the ring of muscle at his ass and moaned wantonly as he pushed in, his back arching in pleasure. He looked over his shoulder at Yusuke, and saw that Yusuke�s eyes were glued to him. He turned and crawled back to Yusuke. He needed Yusuke, and needed him now. Without further ado Hiei straddled Yusuke�s hips and guided Yusuke�s cock to his ass and pressed against it before feeling it enter his tight canal, loosened slightly by the effects of his heat. It didn�t take long for Hiei to feel Yusuke enjoying his body as he was rolled over onto his back.

Hiei whimpered in heated desire, his body burned for release, his and his lover�s. He tightened his grip on Yusuke. He needed Yusuke to ease the ache within, and the only way for that was for them to find their release. Begging loudly Hiei dug his nails into Yusuke�s back, and the pain pushed Yusuke over the edge as he came deeply in the Hiei�s body. Holding Yusuke close to his body Hiei took a moment to regain his breath. Yusuke relaxed over Hiei�s body, staring into the crimson eyes. Softly he kissed the fire apparition, allowing his desire for the other to be felt. It didn�t take long before his desire reawakened, and he hardened within Hiei�s body, having never removed himself after the first time. "Please, Yusuke, I need you so very much." With that Yusuke pressed tighter to Hiei and licked his cheek and then he kissed him. "Thank you." He whispered as they once more made love in the cave that held their love.

When the evening of the next day drew to a close, the effects of Hiei�s heat started to wear off and both began to dress again. They had been together for almost three days and now it was time for them to return back to Ningenkai. Hiei then saw a hesitance in Yusuke, and guessed the cause. "You�re thinking about that ningen, aren�t you? Look Yusuke, she doesn�t have to learn of the truth. What happened here is between us." Yusuke faced Hiei. "You took me here and watched my back. Then you accompanied me back to Ningenkai. Nothing else happened that concerns her at all. I won�t tell her unless you want me to."

"Thank you, Hiei, I just don�t know what to tell her at the moment." Yusuke said relieved and hugged the apparition, who happily hugged him back. "C�mon, Hiei, let�s go home." He draped an arm around Hiei�s shoulders as he guided him back to the portal leading to Ningenkai.
