Yusuke may not have been the perfect boyfriend but he�d loved her. They�d just been too good of friends to become lovers. The tears fell as she walked down the busy street. She didn�t feel like going home now, he�d be there to ask questions. Having him as a roommate was a good idea most of the times. He helped pay the bills, while she attended college. If she confronted him now he�d ask about her evening with Kurama. The man had warmed up to the idea of them as a couple, saying the man would be good for her. How good could he be? He�d just done the perfect job of hurting her.

Still if she didn�t return home, then Yusuke would be calling over to see if she was coming home. It meant Kurama would tell him about their break up. She don�t want anyone to know yet. It hurt that Yusuke had ended things and people looked at her with pity. She pitied her own self enough, she didn�t need theirs. Maybe a little walk around the park would do her some good.

As she got to the door, it was already late. Taking a deep breath she opened it slowly. All the lights were out so either Yusuke wasn�t home or in bed already. The long walk in did her some good but she still hurt. Maybe Kurama had a reason to be mad. They�d already gone so far, so did it really matter. She loved him, was that enough to let things develop further? He was a complicated person, one reason she loved him so much.

As she neared her bedroom door the sound of harsh crying stopped her progress. It was Yusuke�s voice but it was different. He was in pain and sounded horrible. Not wanting to intrude she went to take a shower and get ready for bed. The warm water felt wonderful against her flushed skin. As she stepped out into the cool air the sound of something breaking was heard followed by a harsh cry. Quickly draping a towel around herself, she ran out into the hall.

All the noise was coming from Yusuke�s room. Another crash was heard and she ran in without thinking. As the door opened she spotted him on the edge of the bed, his face buried in his hands. The shoulders shook as he sobbed deeply. She ran over to him, "Yusuke."

"Keiko?" He looked up at the girl but couldn�t smile. He couldn�t burden her with his problems. Why dampen her mood and life with his failures. She didn�t need him to cry on her like a baby. His heart ached and another jagged sob tore from his lips. What had he done? He�d been a complete idiot that�s what he�d been. He�d just sent the man away with harsh words, spoken out of stupidity.

"What�s wrong tell me? Don�t tell me nothing either, talk to me." Keiko squatted in front of him, seeing the flow of tears start anew. What had caused him to break down this way? Putting her own feelings on the back burner she sat beside. She tried to keep her eyes on his face, seeing he was completely nude. What had he been doing in here? "What happened in here?"

"Hiei came by while you were out. It happened Keiko, I.... I slept with him. But as we lay there afterwards I started having doubts about it all. What would everything think of me if we became a couple. I got scared, I was stupid. I said some things I didn�t mean. He left, I can�t take it back now. He�s gone for good."

She didn�t protest as his arms wrapped around her. "Yes, you are an idiot, a huge one. Hiei is a very proud person, he won�t take your rejection of him kindly. Dammit, Yusuke, what am I going to do with you? If you love him, what difference does it make? Who cares what others think? Their opinions aren�t going to make you happy so do what will. If you want to be with him then do so. Don�t toss something away over what other people think." She got up to leave, needing time alone herself.

"Don�t leave me Keiko, just lay with me for a bit please. I don�t want to be alone." Yusuke pleaded with her. Maybe she was right and he�d fucked up. He loved Hiei and if Keiko accepted it then why did he care what other�s thought? He was in love with the little koorime. Tomorrow, he�d find him and make things right. "Why are you here anyways?"

"Oh, I came home early." She let him persuade her to lay down. His head rested against her chest. She prayed the towel didn�t come off. Reaching down she retrieved the sheet just in case. "Kurama? Hell no, I would if I didn�t love Hiei." He chuckled as she popped him in the shoulder. "No, I think it would be perfectly natural. I know you love him. He�s a great guy and he cares about you. I mean he marked you with his scent. For us that�s a way of claiming the person. It�s not a traditional human marriage but it means something to youkai. You�ve been together for a while, I see nothing wrong with it. I know you wanted to wait til you were married but does it matter. Like you just told me, what other people of you doesn�t matter. You love him, be with him."

"I guess you are right," she yawned as he grunted against her chest. "We�re hopeless you know that. I think I made a mistake tonight. I�ll have to go talk to him tomorrow. You want to get off me now? You are crushing me."

Kurama almost ran into the hybrid as he darted down the street. Hiei stopped suddenly and stared at him. Kurama narrowed his eyes seeing the hurt and anger flashing in the man�s eyes. It wasn�t something one normally saw there so it was shocking. Before he had time to ask, the man leapt off but he noticed the shimmer of tears as the man did so. What the hell could cause the man to act so? He was trying to hide the hurt and pain?

Looking down the street he noticed he�d just come from Yusuke�s place; Keiko�s place. He wasn�t ready to face her yet, not now. After cooling down he knew he�d stepped over the line. It was something he couldn�t take back. Even it was how he felt he shouldn�t have said some of what he did. She was anything but a whore and she was his. He wanted to be with her even without the sex. It just hurt that she pulled away from him.

Curiosity got the better of him and he headed towards the apartment. He looked up at the balcony that belonged to Keiko and frowned. The lights were all out, she�d be asleep by now. A small light was burning inside Yusuke�s room. Wondering what had transpired between the two he decided to ask. He jumped up to land softly on the terrace. As he did so his heart stopped. The curtain flapped from the wind giving him a view that imprinted itself upon his mind.

Yusuke was laying his head on Keiko�s chest. A sheet covered most of her body but the man was bare, not a stitch of clothing on. Her hand was resting in the boy�s hair. His arms wrapped around her tight. The heady scent of sex clung to the air, filling the room. Is this what Hiei saw or had he witnessed the act itself? Pain filled him as the couple remained still.

Without making a sound he left, heading back towards his own place. No wonder Hiei had been upset. He had a thing for Yusuke, he�d be hurt to catch the two together. Keiko slid on the sandals before checking her reflection one more time. Yusuke was still upstairs sleeping but she�d woken up an hour ago. She�d quickly ran into her room, taken a shower and fixed herself up. She was wearing a light pink sun dress with a ribbon in her hair to match. It was strapless and flowed freely at the bottom, ending at her knees. She wanted to look nice as she went to go see him. Yusuke was right she should take her own advice. Her body enjoyed his touch, her heart loved him and she longed for his company. She couldn�t imagine being without him now. The next time things got to that point she wouldn�t ask him to stop. If he still wanted her that is. His hurtful words still stung but she hoped he�d spoken out of anger and frustration. With that hope she took her car to drive on over. A walk would have been more pleasant but she was anxious to talk to him and work things out.

Taking a deep breath she knocked on the door. Several minutes passed before it opened sharply. She almost flinched when he gazed at her with such open hostility. Okay, so he was still mad about last night. As she opened her mouth to speak he shut the door back in her face. How rude, she almost said fuck it and give up. But she�d came here to talk to him and she would. Banging on it again she heard him swear from inside. Reaching out she turned the knob, it was unlocked. Without being asked she walked on inside.

Kurama turned and paused, she�d just walked in uninvited. The girl was pushing her luck now. She had a lot of nerve coming here to begin with. But he knew she wasn�t aware of him stopping by last night and witnessing her betrayal. She still thought to play the little innocent act with him. It wouldn�t work, not now. "Not until you talk to me," she tossed her purse on the couch. He didn�t move as she walked over. His hands were clenched at his sides. Was her being her that disturbing? He had to know that she cared about him at least. Knowing he�d probably tell her to leave again she bit the bullet. "Look, I�m sorry about yesterday. In a way you were right. I shouldn�t have let you go that far, if I was going to make you stop. I was scared and I know I was wrong." She stopped in front of him as he remained still. This wasn�t going to the way she�d hoped but he was listening. Trying a new tactic she placed her hand on his face. The jaw was clenched tight, "I want to be with you now."

"Do you?" His voice rang in anger. Did she think he was a fool? It hadn�t even been twelve hours since she�d let Yusuke have a go at her. She�d had no problem spreading herself for him but was now offering herself to him like it was a big deal. Did she think that highly of herself? He reached out to grasp the back of her neck. If she was offering then he�d take it, regardless if she changed her mind this time. She�d just made a mistake by opening her mouth.

Keiko felt some relief as his mouth pressed against hers. It was light and warm, was he willing to work things out? She gave in to the kiss, opening her mouth for him. As his tongue crashed into hers it was forceful and unyielding. Trying not to panic she let him do so. His teeth scrapped across her bottom lip, enough to sting. She tried to pull back from the harsh treatment. "Ouch." Dammit, that had hurt.

"I don�t think so, you aren�t pulling away this time." He gripped the back of her neck, yanking her against him. Wide eyes stared up at him in confusion and fear. It thrilled him to see the look, good she should be scared. If she wanted to use that as an excuse then he�d give her a reason to be afraid. With one skilled hand he pushed down the seams of the sweats he�d slipped on this morning. His chest was already bare allowing him to feel her nipples rubbing tentatively against his bare skin. The dress showed off her cleavage, meant to tease. What was her plan to come here and tease him with what she�d never give up?

He paused and frowned before snapping. She had the audacity to stand here and mention love after what she�d done last night. The phrase made him want to laugh. The bitch had it coming, speaking such garbage to him. What pissed him off more was that a few days ago those three words would have meant everything to him. "Well, that�s nice but I�m afraid I have something to admit also. I�ve come to realize that I hate you."

"Then don�t touch me." Keiko screamed feeling the sting of tears rushing past her lids. The scalded her cheeks as he smirked. The bastard, so she�d been right and he was only using her. She�d just offered herself to him and it was all he wanted. Her palm cracked across his face, "Leave me alone."

"I�m afraid not, you came here seeking something. You aren�t walking away this time. You want to play the game, well be prepared for what happens when you lose." He picked her up and carried her over to the couch. He wouldn�t give her the respect of using his bed. She stared up at him as he pushed the dress up past her hips. "Just be glad I don�t want carpet burn on my knees or I�d fuck you on the floor."

"Go to hell." She kicked at him but he pushed the foot aside. He was over her before she could make another sound. Rough hands forced her thighs farther apart. She groaned as a finger was shoved into her unready passage. The pain was hot but she didn�t cry out. It was yanked out only to be replaced by something bigger. She felt him placing himself at the entrance. He was going to do it without her consent. No, he wouldn�t hurt her like that. "Stop, please, please, I don�t want my first time to be like this."

"You bitch." He growled at the lie and thrust forward. He felt the walls give way as he tore through the dry walls. A gasp escaped his mouth feeling her gripping him so tight. Quickly taking off the dress, she tossed it aside.

She slid down in the porcelain tub, hissing as the water touched her center. The water began to darken as the blood was washed away. Leaning her head against the side she closed her eyes. The pain wouldn�t go away, no matter how she positioned herself. The throbbing made the fire more intense and she couldn�t help but whimper.

The water began to turn cold so she climbed out on weary legs. As she dried herself she noticed the fresh blood smeared against the white cloth. Rummaging through the cabinet she found a pad, not wanting to bleed on her bed. She had to take something and lay down before Yusuke got home. If he saw her in pain he�d want to know what was up. Getting dressed she made her way into the kitchen to fetch a glass of water to wash down two pain pills. That done, she made her way to bed and hoped she�d wake up to find it was all a bad dream.

"Hey wake up Keiko!" Yusuke pushed against her even harder. The girl barely moaned and rolled over. She winced and opened her eyes. What was she doing in bed this early? He�d brought Hiei home for dinner and it wasn�t made. "It�s only five, what are you doing in bed? Not feeling good?"

"I�m fine, I have cramps. What do you want?" She rolled over to turn from him. He had a huge grin on his face and she didn�t want to see it right now. Closing her eyes she tried to go back to sleep. Her nightmare hadn�t ended and she didn�t want to face it.

"I invited Hiei over for dinner but I guess I�ll have to order out if you aren�t feeling good." He sat on the edge of the bed and placed a hand on her back. He frowned when she flinched away from him. Damn, she was as touchy as his mother during that time. "Look, I�ll order something for you as well. I just want to thank you for last night. Your advice helped. I found Hiei and apologized. By the way, how did things go with you and Kurama?"

She almost started crying at the question but bit her lip. He sounded so happy, she didn�t want to ruin it for him by telling him. He�d get angry at the man if he knew. It would tear the three�s friendship apart and all over her. Taking a deep breath she faked a smile, "Great, we are going out once I feel up to it."

"That�s great, I�ll leave your dinner in the fridge when you feel up to." He patted her on the back before leaving to inform Hiei of their dinner plans. He was sure his little firefly had plans for dessert. He�d have to remind him to keep it down so they wouldn�t disturb Keiko. Smiling he walked out of the room closing the door behind him.

Keiko stared at the cup of coffee before her and groaned. Her head snapped up when Yusuke walked into the kitchen all smiles. If the noises coming from the room the last two nights the two men had done more than made up. She was happy for him though. He looked at peace with himself, a glow surrounded him. She winced as another pain tore through her mid-section. He just glanced back at her lifting his brow.

"Is Kurama picking you up or do you want to ride with me and Hiei? The party starts in thirty minutes, you need to get dressed." He rinsed the cup out and placed it in the sink. He frowned seeing how pale she was. Was PMS that bad, he didn�t remember seeing her that bad before. Then again his mother use to say some months were worse than others. There was a slight line of sweat above her brow. "Are you okay?"

"Great, yeah he�s picking me up. If he can�t make it I�ll drive myself. You and Hiei go ahead, I�ll be along later." There was no way she could manage a smile as her gut twisted but she kept a straight face. He merely nodded before walking out of the room. Taking a deep breath she closed her eyes. The sound of the front door closing announced his departure. That�s right, today was Kuwabara�s birthday party. Everyone would be there, except her. She didn�t think she could make it to the couch, much less out the door. Her whole body felt raw as another spasm of pain shot through her middle.

She didn�t want to call her mother but didn�t think it could be helped any longer. What would they say when they found out? After crying for a day straight, she�d prayed for it to end. The hurt of what he done barely compared to what was happening now. She was still spotting and carrying a fever. The pain wouldn�t go away, it was torturing her to no end.

She couldn�t burden them with it, or face what happened. No, it was her fault. They�d blame him and everyone would know what had happened. Maybe a trip to her family doctor would take care of the problem. Dizziness assailed her as she stood. Her vision blurred as she made it to the phone. Tears streamed down her face as she dialed her parent�s house. On the third ring her mother answered, "Mom, hey, look can you come take me to the doctor? I don�t feel too good and I don�t think I can drive myself. No, Yusuke is gone. Please."

Yusuke squeezed the hand that was lightly placed in his. The man was still somewhat apprehensive about showing emotions in public and that was okay. He�d talked things over with the man and they�d work it all out. His only worry was Keiko, the girl looked wrong. Her normal cascade of hair had hung around her shoulders as if limp. Her features had been drawn and her eyes, there was something wrong. He hadn�t seen her leave the house in two days. Had her and Kurama not worked out their problems yet?

He spotted the man standing next to Kuwabara as they entered the house. Whatever it was they needed to get things straight, the girl was depressed. So, the man wasn�t picking her up after all. Maybe she�d show later. Grinning he waved at Shizuru who called out their names. They both went straight to the other two team members.

Kuwabara cringed seeing the two so close together. It just wasn�t right, not in his book. They were both his friends but how could they look at each other naked and get excited. His mouth opened, "I�m not trying to insult you man but how can you get turned on by Hiei after being with Keiko. I mean she real pretty and he�s well... he�s Hiei. I mean come on man, couldn�t you have found a girl or something."

Kurama narrowed his eyes at the couple. Seemed Hiei was more forgiving that he�d first believed. Did he not mind that Yusuke had slept with the girl? Guilt plagued him as Kuwabara brought up her name. Why hadn�t she arrived with Yusuke? Or was she not coming? Why should he care? Even if he did feel guilty or remorse, it changed nothing. He wouldn�t allow himself to regret his actions. "Where is she?"

"If you care so much, why don�t you try calling her?" Yusuke snapped at the fox. The man was getting on his last nerves with his glaring. He�d been eyeing him since he�d walked in the fucking door. If the man had a problem then he should just come out and say it. Hiei bristled beside him as Kurama suddenly pounced. The fist collided with his open jaw. He staggered backwards slamming into the couch. "You bastard!"

Hiei held the katana up to the man�s throat and glared. He didn�t know what his problem was but if he moved another inch towards his mate he�d regret what he�d have to do. It might come to a fight but he wouldn�t let the man attack Yusuke for now reason. "I don�t know what your problem is but I suggest you take it elsewhere."

"Unlike you I am not so forgiving Hiei. You can take him back after what he did but I will not let it pass." Kurama ignored the blade pressed at his side, knowing he�d easily escape before Hiei actually killed him with it. The man might fight him but he wouldn�t kill him. Besides he was in the right here. The man had betrayed them both.

"What the hell are you babbling about fool? Our relationship has nothing to do with you so I suggest you stay out of it." Hiei snapped. He remembered running into Kurama that night but the fox had no right to strike Yusuke for the slight. They had worked things out to their satisfaction. "Explain yourself."

"I saw them." He heard everyone gasping as the words were exchanged, wondering what was going on. If they wanted to air their dirty laundry out in the open, so be it. "That night I saw you on the street after you left his house. I went back there, to see what was going on. I saw why you ran off. There was no mistaking the two of them in bed together. You can forgive him for betraying you but he will pay for touching what�s mine."

"What!?" Hiei turned his head towards the Detective. Had someone been there after he left? But Kurama had passed him not even ten minutes after he�d finally taken off not being able to stand Yusuke�s crying any longer. No one could have gotten there that fast. "Who did you see him with?"

"Keiko! She was in bed with him and they were both naked. The smell of sex cloaked the room. Or did you not know that right after you left he�d climbed back in bed with his ex." Kurama pushed the blade away from his throat as Hiei turned to his lover. So the koorime hadn�t known of that but then why had he left? Did it matter? Yusuke had betrayed him as soon as he left.

Yusuke saw Hiei�s questioning look and sighed, "Dammit, Hiei listen, I didn�t sleep with her. We both know why smell of sex was in the room. It was from us. If you remember we heard Keiko come home and her getting in the shower. Right after you left she was getting out and heard me crying so she rushed into the room. Nothing happened, I swear. I was in the bed with her because I asked her to stay. She was under the sheet but she had a towel on. I�m not going to lie, I was still naked but we didn�t do anything. I just hadn�t gotten dressed after you�d left. I have never been with Keiko and you know this."

Kurama�s hand itched at the lie, "You are a fool if you believe that lie. I know for a fact that Keiko is no virgin. I have been there and the proof was more than enough. I doubt she fucked anyone else but Yusuke. So if you can explain why she was missing her maidenhead then I might consider believing you."

"Are all men idiots?" Shizuru lit her cigarette before taking a deep smoke. At least her brother wasn�t this big of a moron. "Why do all men believe that in order for a girl to be a virgin she has to bleed. Is it a sick obsession with blood? The girl had a biopsy done over a year ago. You know where the doctor goes in with a metal instrument and stretches the vagina so he can take samples of what he wants. Sorry, but I don�t think that would count as a lay. At least not in my book. Oh, and I think the only one here that hasn�t figured out that Yusuke lied that day was you Kurama. Even I saw the way he was looking at that guy. If he was in denial about his sexuality it is only typical male behavior to posture and boast even if it is a lie."

Yusuke looked at his friend, who looked stunned. As the seconds passed the color began to drain from his cheeks. Maybe her explanation wasn�t enough but he had to try. "I never touched her Kurama. I�m sorry if you walked in on that but we didn�t do anything. She was only there to comfort me because I was upset over Hiei. We have never been lovers, I swear Keiko is still a virgin. That night she told me that you two got into a fight. It shouldn�t matter to you if she wants to wait, isn�t being with her enough and knowing that she loves you?"

Shizuru jumped when the phone rang. This was turning out to be an interesting day. It was probably the girl in question. "I�ll get it. Hello, yes he�s here. Okay," she turned to Yusuke and extended the phone.

Glaring at the fox that hadn�t moved yet he snapped into the receiver, "What? Oh, hey Mrs. Yukimora." This better be good, he didn�t feel like putting up with any bullshit.

The voice on the other end was filled with panic, "Yusuke, I�m at the house. Keiko called, I came right over but she�s not moving. I tried to call her father but he�s not answering. The paramedics aren�t here yet. I don�t know what to do, she won�t wake up." There was a long pause as his heart stopped. "My girl�s gone."

He dropped the phone as a busy signal buzzed into his ear. "Keiko."

Keiko moaned feeling her mom shaking her roughly but her eyes refused to open. Her voice wasn�t working either. Pain ripped through her but no sound came. Someone was moving her head around non-gently. Who the hell was shining a light in her eye? Why was she on the floor? She could recall calling her mother then trying to make it back to her room to change. Then nothing until now. Had she passed out? She�d taken more of Yusuke�s pain pills. Hands were trying to pick her up. Panic filled her as voices she didn�t recognize echoed in her ears. Where was her mom?

Yusuke ran up to the crying woman that was fighting against a large female paramedic. Two men were on the floor next to Keiko. One was holding her up, the other was examining her. The woman became hysterical as they shoved something down the girl�s throat causing her to gag. "What the hell are you doing?"

"Inducing vomiting to empty her stomach. She�s showing signs of an overdose." The female tech frowned as the mother began crying as the girl retched. Seeing the boy had her for now she went to get the stretcher.

"I�m not getting much here, let�s get her in." The man nodded as the stretcher was brought. The girl didn�t bring up much.

Yusuke held the woman as they climbed into the ambulance. Kurama was standing behind him staring at the ground. He didn�t have time for the man now. They�d follow it to the hospital, for now. Keiko�s father needed to be called. "Don�t worry, she�s strong she�ll pull through."

Shizuru frowned at all the solemn faces. Keiko�s parents were huddled in the corner comforting each other. They�d been escorted into a private waiting room in which to wait. She smiled weakly at Yusuke who was pacing the floor. Hiei was leaning against the wall next to Kurama, whom was sitting in a chair. The man had his head buried in his hands. It had been hours since they�d brought her in. She couldn�t believe that Keiko would try to kill herself. It wasn�t in the girl to do it.

The door opened and a doctor came in. He was an elderly man with a partial bald head and glasses. Behind him came an officer, that didn�t look too happy. The doctor went up to her parents and introduced himself and the other man. "Is there a place where we can talk in private?"

"This is fine. We are all family here, now tell us what�s happened to our daughter. She wouldn�t kill herself, Keiko isn�t like that." Her father held his wife�s shoulders. He wouldn�t believe that of his child. She was a strong person.

"Yes, I�ll be blunt. We flushed out her system and found a few other things." He took a breath, not wanting to inform the girl�s parents. They always took it the hardest. "After careful examination, we found extensive vaginal tearing. We believe what happened is the young lady was raped around seventy-two hours ago. She didn�t come in for treatment. As we all know in these cases the first thing one might do is try to get clean. We believe that your daughter did just that. As with any open wound it should be kept clean. This didn�t happen in her case, I�m assuming she probably took a bath. An infection was caused due to bacteria. As far as the chemicals in her system, we don�t think she was trying to kill herself but taking them for pain. With an infection she would have been feverish, in pain and with not much of an appetite. All these things combined the medicine she was taking backed up in her liver, not having any means of being flushed out. We�ve flushed out her system and she�s on some antibiotics to help with the infection. She should pull through without any permanent damage physically. I can recommend you to someone if she agrees to seeing a counselor."

Kurama ignored the looks he received from Hiei as he walked out of the room. He had to get out of there. His walk lead him to the roof. The moon shone down on him as he took a deep breath. The door opened behind him and he wasn�t surprised to sense Yusuke coming out behind him. He wasn�t shocked, the man would have figured it out soon enough.

"Why? Why did you do it? You know I don�t care." Yusuke felt the tears sting his eyes as the man lowered his head in defeat. He wasn�t even going to proclaim his innocence. His heart had been longing to see the man get angry at the accusation, proving him wrong. No denial came, only an awkward silence condemning the man. "I don�t care what you thought at the time."

Kurama turned to face him, "Neither do I. What I thought is irrelevant. I did something that can�t be undone, no matter how much I wish it. Do as you will, I will not stop you." He waited for the first blow to land. It sent him skidding across the roof. The pain was welcomed as the fists found his face again. This was what he deserved, there was no excuse for what he�d done. The girl would never forgive him, what else did he have to lose? His friends wouldn�t accept it either. Hiei might not hold it against him but he was with Yusuke. If the detective didn�t want him around Hiei would go along with it.

"Don�t!" Hiei grabbed the clenched fist. "Leave him be Yusuke. You are giving him what he wants. It is not your place to punish him. Look at him, do you think you are accomplishing anything? If you want him to feel pain and to suffer allow him to live with what he�s done. True pain is the one thing he can only bring to himself. He�ll have to live with it. I doubt the girl will forgive him. In case she does you don�t want this to be a problem. Let his guilt eat at him until it consumes him. Let Keiko decide what should be done. Think about it, if she wanted this to happen she would have told you what had occurred. She didn�t tell you, did she? It was because she didn�t want THIS to happen. Think about Keiko, she was the one wronged, not you or him. If the girl wants him punished than I will gladly help you do so. Let her decide, she�s earned the right."

"You�re right. Fine, but I swear if you go near her again I�ll kill you where you stand. I won�t allow you to hurt her again." Yusuke backed up, trying to contain the rage that was flowing. Why? Keiko loved him, she didn�t deserve this. To be raped by the man she�d hoped to spend her life with. He meant what he said, he wouldn�t allow Kurama to hurt her again.

Kurama gazed up at the moon, wondering why everything went so wrong. He�d fucked up, this his fault, no one else�s. The calmness he�d always prided himself for had failed him. Always access the situation before acting. He hadn�t done so this time. He�d let his hurt and anger of believing the girl had been guilty control his actions. No doubt she meant what she�d said that day but it was too late. He�d taken the love and thrown it in her face then punished her. A tear slid down his face as the door shut, condemning him to live alone with his guilt. "I�m sorry Keiko."
