Chapter 3: A Dangerous Time

Kurama woke early the next day, he then remembered what had transpired the previous night and grinned evilly. With all the alcohol that Kuwabara had drunk, it�d be a wonder if he remembered anything that happened after the �Truth and Dare� game. He looked over Kuwabara�s body as he formulated an idea to tease Kuwabara. They were both naked after all. A groan alerted Kurama to Kuwabara wakening and he quickly got rid of the smile and gave a whimper. The whimper was what made Kuwabara focus on the one that made it, and Kurama�s idea started. �You really have a big cock when hard, don�t you?� Kuwabara�s face reddened. �I�m still sore, and that is saying something since I normally only take a couple of hours to heal from a proper fucking.�

�Fucking? What are you on abo�� It was then that Kuwabara realised that he and Kurama were both naked and he realised to what Kurama was referring to. �Oh, shit, we never?� Kurama nodded solemnly. �Shit, what do I tell Yukina? Hiei will kill me!�

A moment later and Hiei and Yusuke entered the room, and the shock on their faces was priceless. Flashing them a wink, Kurama turned back to teasing Kuwabara. �Please, you cannot think of a Koorime at a time like this, my beloved Kuwabara.� He said fluttering his eyelashes. �You make me complete, my human sword master.�
Hiei�s eyes narrowed, knowing that he had at least a small role to play in Kurama�s teasing. �Kuwabara, I do hope he isn�t saying what I think he�s saying.� Hiei said, trying hard not to laugh. Instead a smile pulled at the corners of his lips, making him look even more scary. �I may just have to hit you with a Dragon of the Darkness Flame if I find out that you have hurt her.� Kuwabara blanched and Yusuke saw his chance to get a little payback too.

�My, my I do believe that something did transpire between this pair, my love.� Yusuke said draping an arm over Hiei�s shoulders. �I think that their nakedness gives it away, don�t you?� Hiei gave a few more threats, even chasing Kuwabara around the room a little, before returning to Yusuke�s arms for Kurama�s final admission.

�Calm yourself, Kuwabara, nothing happened between us.� The fox said with a wide grin. �Although it was fun watching you.� Kurama said with a grin. �I thought that you would have caught on, that with all the moving I have done, that nothing decided to dribble out my ass, unlike Hiei, who I can still smell clearly.� Yusuke�s arm immediately went around his fire demon�s, and Hiei hugged the other close, kissing the fire demon, and holding him possessively.

�Oh, Kurama, Hiei is going to move in with me. I have no doubt that Keiko will have already packed up my things, and it�s a good job that I kept my old apartment from before I moved in with her.� Yusuke said as he held his fire apparition close. �We are, after all, a family now.� Hiei smiled. �We are a family and I shall make sure that I never let Hiei down, he has that promise. He and our young can always count on me.�

It was roughly a month later and Hiei had been out doing the shopping. He and Yusuke had done a deal, since Yusuke was bringing in the money, that Hiei�d do the shopping, and Hiei realised how quiet a human life was. He hated the stench of humans around him, but neither he nor Yusuke could live without food. No he had put up with worse in the past, this was nothing. Paying for the food that he had gathered, the small fire apparition paused, trembling as he could smell the scent of a demon close by, and it was heading right for him! Hiei already knew that he couldn�t handle the demon by himself, especially pregnant as he was. Turning tail, he ran towards the only known safe place near by; Yusuke�s ramen stall. It was by pure chance that not only was Yusuke there, but the others too. �Demon following me.� Hiei said panting. It was then that Yusuke caught a glimpse of the demon, a very human-like female.
�Come out, little apparition. I can smell your ripeness.� She said, before her eyes fell on Hiei. �Ah, there you are. So silly to run, you have only increased my hunger.� The demon then attacked, heading straight for Hiei, and here touch was only stopped by Yusuke. The Toushin had already transformed, and bared his teeth at her. �Oh, so you have one that is protective over you, it is no matter. I shall have you, little half-breed.� She pulled back, and Kurama tugged Yusuke to him.

�I know her kind. She is from a group of demons that kills demon mothers for their unborn offspring. They believe that if they devour the young before they�re born means that they gain the young�s abilities.� The fox stared at the demon. �Get Hiei away from here, Yusuke. We shall deal with this demon.� Yusuke nodded and returned to Hiei�s side and held him close. The fire apparition had fainted, which worried Yusuke, but the priority was to get Hiei to safety. He lifted Hiei into his arms.

�I shall see you both soon.� He said as he ran towards his apartment, he needed to get his love safe. Once he got inside, he lay Hiei down on their bed. He could feel the auras of their children weaker than before. What was wrong? He started to get worried, and never even noticed the door opening and the others entering the apartment. Kurama immediately approached Yusuke and Hiei and looked down at the unconscious fire demon, just as his eyes fluttered open.

�Enough is enough Hiei. It�s time that you asked Yukina for some help.� Kurama said harshly, making Hiei whimper. He faced Yusuke. �If he doesn�t get Yukina to help him now, he could lose the children.� Yusuke sat on the bed next to Hiei. �Because Hiei is using his Koorime part to hold onto the pregnancy, he has to work by Koorime rules. Unless he has a certain mate, and not one in just words as you currently are, he needs to be amongst the Koorime who supports the energy requirement for pregnancy amongst their own kind.� Kurama paced back and forth. �You are so stubborn, Hiei, and that could lead to your downfall.� Yusuke looked at Hiei, worry etched over his handsome face. He knew that if he wanted to keep his babies healthy, he�d have to come clean to his twin.

�Very well, I�ll tell her.� He said to ease Yusuke�s worry. �I�ll tell her who I am.� He pulled Yusuke to lie beside him. �I thought that I could handle it as long as I had you with me. I was wrong, and I am sorry if I made you worry, my Yusuke.� Hiei said as he buried his face in Yusuke�s chest. He knew that he was making a fool of himself, but he was worried too. He didn�t want his and Yusuke�s babies to die because of him. �Go and get her, Kurama. I don�t have the energy to go to her.� Exhausted, Hiei closed his eyes. He felt so silly relying on others, but what else could he do? Kurama nodded at the request and left, dragging Kuwabara with him. Hiei looked at Yusuke with pleading eyes. �Please, hold me Yusuke.�

Yusuke smiled as he did what Hiei asked. He knew that it wasn�t something that his chosen mate needed to face alone. �I shall be here when you tell Yukina if that is your wish.� He said and Hiei nodded. He placed a kiss on Hiei�s forehead. �Take a nap. I shall awaken you when Yukina arrives.� Hiei�s eyes closed as he fell asleep. Ten minutes later and the door opened to show the young Koorime.

�Kurama said that Hiei needed to see me.� She said, then noticed Hiei lying on the bed asleep, but she also noticed the slight bump. She wondered how Hiei came to be pregnant, and what was so important that he needed to converse with her. Gently Yusuke awoke Hiei, who didn�t want to waken, and the crimson eyes looked around the room, settling on Yukina. �Hello, Hiei.� She said quietly, there was something about the fire apparition that seemed� off wit somebody who was pregnant. Fire demons was able to produce their own energy during pregnancy, or so she was told. However there was very little energy in Hiei�s, usually powerful, frame.

�I am glad that you came, Yukina.� He said as he sat up with Yusuke�s help. Hiei leaned against Yusuke and held his hand. �Yukina, there�s something that I have been meaning to tell you, something that I should have told you years ago.� The fire demon said, looking at Yusuke who nodded in support. �Yukina, I�m the brother that you have been searching for all this time.� There he had said it, and could only watch calmly as Yukina tried to take in what the apparition had said. �I know that I�m probably not the type of brother that you want considering��

�Hiei, please let me speak now.� Yukina said gently. �I have suspected for a while now that you were my brother, but I waited to see if you would tell me or not.� She smiled gently. �I also know what you need, Hiei.� She sat next to her brother, but Yusuke growled warningly. �I suggest you stop acting like a child, Yusuke Urameshi. At the moment only I can stop things from deteriorating any further than they already have.� She placed her hand on Hiei�s bump and concentrated her youki into her palm and allowed the energy to pass into Hiei�s body. �I can hold out a while, but it is such a shame that the Koorime can�t see that men aren�t bad or you could have a whole family to support you in a time like this.� After some time she stopped the energy flow. �You need to take things easy now, brother. Your energy levels need time to recuperate.� She looked at Yusuke. �Have you another bedroom here where I can sleep. I want to be near to him to keep his energy levels up.�

�Of course I do, Yukina. I shall show you shortly.� Yusuke said as he stroked his fingers through Hiei�s HHhair. �Thank you, Yukina, you�re a lifesaver. I owe you big time.� Yusuke proceeded to pull Yukina into a three-way hug with himself and Hiei. �We�re a proper little family, aren�t we? Mummy Hiei, auntie Yukina and myself, all in one house.� Yukina giggled at the image that it conjured in her head as Yusuke�s hand stroked Hiei�s swollen abdomen. �You love that thought, don�t you?� Yusuke asked as he laid small butterfly kisses over Hiei�s face. �You love the thought of belonging to a family, except this is your family. Your children, our children.� Hiei closed his eyes and nodded once, letting Yusuke know that he was. Yusuke remained with Hiei until the fiery tempered apparition started to sleep before He took Yukina to her room, remembering that he had, yet, to get the room ready for her to sleep in it, however he saw a note pinned to the door in Kurama�s handwriting.

We have taken the liberty to make the bed in here in anticipation of Yukina remaining here to the terminus of Hiei�s pregnancy. Please do not hesitate to contact Kuwabara or myself if you require anything. We are always at the other end of a telephone call.

Yusuke opened the door and let Yukina enter the room first, and when he looked in he saw a dazzling smile on his mate�s sister�s face. �It is wonderful, and so cool too. It reminds me of home, of the Land of the Koorime.� She sat on the bed and patted the mattress beside her, asking Yusuke to take a seat. �Hiei is so lucky to have you.� She said. �You accept him for who he is, in fact I think that you love him for what he is too. You admire his skills as a fighter, and that is returned.� Then the smile faded slightly. �I wish that I could find somebody like you for myself.� Yusuke smiled as he took her small hands in his larger ones.
�I am sure that you will, Yukina. I know that Kuwabara� Kazuma would do anything for you. He worships the ground that you walk on, and you could do a lot worse.� Then he felt a tug at his awareness and looked over to see Hiei shivering in the coldness of the room. �Looks like Hiei wants me, and I better go to my better half.� He said, sending a smile in Hiei�s direction as he approached the half-breed. �I�ll be making dinner soon, please let me know what you would like before then.� It was then that Hiei pulled him out the room, glaring at Yusuke as though he had cheated on him. Yusuke then pulled the fire demon into his arms, laying his head on Hiei�s. �Don�t get jealous, she�s your sister and not your love rival, not that you have one.� He turned Hiei�s face upwards and gave him a passionate kiss, knowing that it would have its desired effect.
�I know, I know.� Hiei said. �I just can�t help myself though. I just want you to be with me all the time. I keep feeling like I�m pathetic, and that�s one feeling I hate.� Yusuke led him back to their bed.
�You�re pregnant, Hiei. If you felt wonderful then I would worry.� He held Hiei close to him. �I have never thought of you as being pathetic. You have always been strong, even now, pregnant though you are. You tried to get through this without help from Yukina, even though you were getting weaker. I�m happy that you�re mine, Hiei, I love knowing that you are close. I love feeling you in my arms at night, or even in times like this. I think that I�d be lost without your presence now, my love.� He placed a kiss just above his love�s Jagan eye. �You have been here with me so long, that I can barely remember a moment without your presence.� He couldn�t believe it himself. The fact was that he could barely remember his life before becoming the Reikai Tantei, before meeting Hiei. �My beloved three-eyes, what would I be doing without you being here?� Hiei laughed.
�You wouldn�t be stuck with a pregnant demon, that�s for sure.� Hiei said. �You�d be free to do whatever you wanted, rather than have to look after me.� The last part was said with such bitterness that Yusuke felt that it was his job to kiss the silly idea out of his half-breed�s mind.
�Enough of that.� Yusuke said pinning Hiei below him, pressing against the fire youkai. �I�d much rather be here with you than anywhere else, you hear me?� He said with a growl as his hands roamed possessively over Hiei�s body, resting against his bump. �Why would I want anything more than what you are giving me?� He pulled back to watch Hiei�s expression. Hiei looked so wonderful, so peaceful, when held below the Toushin�s body. His hands then moved to Hiei�s hips, stroking the fabric-covered muscles, and his cock started to harden with the thought of what he could do to his lover. He could see in Hiei�s eyes that the hybrid demon felt it too.
�Yusuke, have you anything to tell me?� Hiei asked playfully as he allowed his hands the luxury to travel down Yusuke�s body before he decided that touching wasn�t enough. He rolled Yusuke onto his back and straddled his sips. �Maybe you�re too shy to tell me.� He said with his trademark smirk. �Perhaps I should ask your body and maybe it shall be more forthcoming.� He started to kiss down Yusuke�s body, already sensitive to its own needs, and it reacted favourably to Hiei�s kisses and licks. �Ah, I see that you�re ready to give me what I want, Yusuke.� Hiei purred as he crawled back up Yusuke�s body, pressing his ass against Yusuke�s erection. �I hope you know how much I love you, Yusuke.� Hiei said as he felt the length slip past the ring of muscle. �I hope that you enjoy this as much as I.�
�There is no need to ask, Hiei, I love you and our time together. It�s something that I�d never miss for the world. Ningenkai could blow up for all I care as long as you are in my arms.� He said allowing Hiei to do as he wished to his body. He knew that the further along the pregnancy Hiei was, the more that Yusuke would have to give over control to the feisty youkai in the matters on sexual position. He knew that Hiei would love that, but until then, Yusuke would have to keep him in his place. Gently he rolled over and looked at Hiei�s flushed face. �Lets see what we can do about your desire, then. It�s bad of me not to see to your needs, isn�t it?�

Three hours later and Yukina went in search of Yusuke to see about the dinner, and looking in the room, she saw both Yusuke and her older brother curled up together, sound asleep, and smiled. The two lovers looked so wonderful together as they slept, and she quietly closed the door to their bedroom. She didn�t know what to expect when Kurama had told her that Yusuke and Hiei had become almost mates, but when she saw them together she could clearly see the deep feelings that ran between them both. She had suspected that Hiei had been her brother ever since she had first met him in Tarukane�s mansion. She never questioned him then, but she only knew that she had to stop Hiei from killing the man who tortured her. If he killed a human, Hiei would have had to pay dearly. Anyway that was in the past now, and she had her big brother back with her.

For her treat she would make the dinner for them, something that she had learned from her time living with Genkai. She started making a simple stew with rice, simple but delicious. Leaving enough for the two sleeping males she ate quietly, loving the silence of the apartment. It gave her time to think over what Yusuke had said about Kuwabara. �Does Kazuma really think of me that way? Does Kazuma really want me like Yusuke said?� She thought to herself. �How do I find out for sure if Kazuma does or doesn�t?� Then she set the thought aside, figuring that time would solve things in it�s own time. For now she had a hormonal half-Koorime to look after, and she would think more on her dilemma when things came to pass
